Movies are life. Minnesota's Iron Range raised me, Michigan made me. Taking some immigration law-type classes at Villanova University. Abolish ICE and DHS.
Spent the day in Milwaukee with two of my daughters today and got a couple awesome used movies. Also got me an Alan Scott Green Lantern Funko from a toy store that smelled like piss. Then we went swimming in Lake Michigan. It was a good day.
THE LADY VANISHES is probably my second favorite Hitchcock film. Now watching.
On the left is the cover of my copy of The Odyssey (it's about 65 or 70 years old). On the right is a pic from 2021 when I got the tattoo.
There is a lot of smoke from the Ontario fires in the Madison area this morning.
Rented a cabin on a lake in far northern Wisconsin, hanging out with my kids, listening to Hoagy Carmichael, and doing homework. Life is pretty okay sometimes.
Got my big-ass Metropolis poster back from my ex-wife yesterday. She was trying to sell it until my daughters caught her.
I'm home in Holland, MI for the weekend. This banner at the corner of River Ave and W. 12th Street, right by Centennial Park, was painted by my daughter.
Me trying to use the Brightspace learning platform that Villanova implemented this week.
Took a little day trip up to Viroqua, WI and found this awesome old printing press at a bookstore.
Just finished @thesarahrose.bsky.social's D-Day Girls. An amazing story that is inspiring, at times sad, and other times infuriating. These women are heroes and deserve all the highest awards and recognition possible. Read this book, friends!
Check out these cool Doctor Who wall hangings I found at a thrift store today!
Saw a Lamborghini out in the wild today. In Sun Prairie, WI of all places.
Paula Patton's flexed forearm muscles in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL have me like
I may not get through the whole thing tonight, but I'm now watching KWAIDAN.
Something from the '70s: Me letting everyone know there will be no bullshit on my watch.
That right there is an A. I'm not even going to argue about an assignment that I think she graded incorrectly. An A is an A. Now I'm off until June 1st.
This is Jeff; he was my cousin. I loved this guy when I was a kid. He was a firefighter and EMT. I'd go visit him at the fire hall and he'd let me climb on all the trucks, play in the ambulance, and obviously do every kid's dream: slide down the fire pole. He died two weeks ago. RIP, Jeff.
I had to take a survey on my core character strength as one of my final assignments of the semester. Yes, I'm hilarious; but this being the top strength that I now have to write about in an immigration law class is kind of depressing. Like I should be representing people while dressed like Krusty.
Thank you. The team couldn't have done it without me and this sweatshirt and my sweatpants with the block-M. Can't wait to get my ring.
