Bought my first physical album in almost 20ish years. My last, which has been lost, was Fallen by Evanescence. Bought plenty of soundtracks for films between then and now. (Side note: grew up in a very religious household. Non-group music with lyrics was banned. Digital was safest.)

Next book coming up. I read Men Without Women also by Haruki Murakami, and saw the film, Drive My Car, that more or less combined the short stories into a singular narrative, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to it. #booksky

A show I recently finished, Gunshi Kanbe, or Strategist Kanbe. It only took me about a year to get my hands on the full thing with English subtitles. The show follows the life of Kuroda Kanbe as he serves Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa and helping in the unification of Japan. It was a fun watch

Seven short stories about men who have lost or lack, for one reason or another, a significant woman in their lives. This one left me contemplating everything. 15/15 May need to increase my number for the end of the year. #bookchallenge2025 #booksky

Been sick with a bout of covid and a stomach bug, simultaneously, this week. I finally felt well enough to not only get out of bed, but to go outside for a while. With the heat, there was a breeze that would carry mist over to me. Made it pleasant. And now it's raining.

1 year ago, I was in the midst in my first adventure outside of the US and in Japan. So struck was I, I have had a strong longing to return. Side note to the trip: I was watching the Olympics in Japanese and seeing sports we don't see on broadcast tv, like fencing and martial arts. #travel #japan

Day 30 Your all time favorite movie. I really don't have favorites that sit at the top of anything very often. Series, maybe, or films that trade places with each other or sit near the top together, none truly surpassing the other. Many here are those sorts of films. This is one I haven't used yet.

Day 29 Your favorite movie trilogy. I am refraining from using Star Wars (again). It already has roughly 3 or 4 entries. 🤣 I am going to go with another good trilogy series: The Lord off the Rings. #filmsky #movies

Day 28 A good movie from a genre you don't like. Modern horror is not really my think. Much of it just seems like an excuse for gore and grotesque things. They are not the same thing. Glad I got talked into The Wolfman, though. This I enjoyed. #filmsky #movies
