What's with this shit? I've spent the last few years rejecting cookies from sites, accepting only the essentials if I must, and now I'm told i gotta PAY to not accept cookies, else I gotta accept all? Save me EU, this can't be legal.
All in all, a great model and it's going immediately on my shelf above my desk. I'm tempted to dismantle it and airbrush it, putting in some better chrome and detailing, maybe some weathering. But for right now this is great. Would recommend.
Exterior is nice, although there're some annoying sprue attachment points directly on outward-facing panels that could/should have been on the underside to preserve the aesthetic.
This model is super easy to make. Lots of great little parts to make the engine and the framework. The steering wheel, console, throttle and gears are all individual pieces.
Next up, The Batmobile from 'The Batman's. I've had this on my wish list for a while but it had been out of stock. Excited to get stuck in. #modelmaking
The stickers were a little fussy and broke up the making, but otherwise a fun build, and really got me excited to make more from GQuuuuuuX.
A great first day. Stickers slowed me down a little, and I tried doing panel-lining as I went, which was always a thing that gets tricky for smaller models if you leave it to the end. Tomorrow is 'leg day'.
Today's project: GQuuuuuuX It's been a minute since my last Gunplay model so I'm going to enjoy the process and not rush this.
Really enjoyed the new Ghost in the Shell series. Feels really tapped into the original manga (maybe to a fault with all the little 'liner notes' explaining everything) but as a straight adaptation, it's got my vote for now. The art style is poppin' and the tone feels really good.
Finished watching Gundam GQuuuuuuX. Really good fun, I loved the alt-history take on the original story, didn't overstay its welcome and wrapped pretty well in the end (Some nonsense schemes and technobabble notwithstanding). Annoyingly my local Gunpla store has sold out of all the models (sulk).
I noticed I was aging out my coworkers when they started using sentences like "that is so aesthetic" and that things are "mood" and everything was "a vibe". Since I don't know what any of that means without additional words I give them a nice thumbs-up, which is also, I hear, deeply problematic.
Staying up in bed to watch the Splashdown. What a view. Godspeed, Integrity. Get back safe and sound.
PS4 was floating ideas about context-based help button, that you could press at any point and it would open a guide to what to do at that particular moment. It's super nice in theory, like amazon prime video's x-ray
First day back at the office. Let's see if I can remember how I do my job.
Two new Star Wars game announcements, two CGI trailers years away from release, same as it ever was. Only thing I can do is drive away and hope to see each other again down the road.
Incredible night seeing Radiohead on their European tour at Copenhagen. A powerhouse of sound. Nothing but bangers.
Finally getting around to starting 'Human Error Processor' after a re-read of The Ghost in the Shell and MAN that is some derpy cover-art. Every time I pick the book up I just want to put it down again because of haw awkward everyone looks on it.
Really enjoyed the first two episodes of 'Dispatch'. The writing, the acting, the animation, the music, it's all on-point. Such a great evoltion of the Telltale formula; slick as hell and great fun. Can't wait for the rest of the episodes to drop. I'm all the way in on this game.
Our little game that Chief Rebel has been plugging away at for nearly six years has finally reached ready for Early Access. It feels weird to think so much blood, sweat, and tears have led to this day. So proud of the team for how solid the game feels. Can't wait to press the button tonight.
Great show seeing Lady Gaga tonight. Played all the hits and incredible production for the sets, costumes, choreography, and AV. Like theatre, wonderful.
The final scene of Blair Witch fucked me up! Going in knowing they had the actors film everything while the filmmakers kinda just fucked with them. My teenage, terrified mind clung onto the film-maker knowledge that they were actors, that it was all just noises and secretly moving props. Then...
