It's a Taupin/John type of relationship. Dean sings. Cas writes. They occasionally Zoom to work through songs. Cas likes Dean but is pretty sure Dean wouldn't give him the time of day if they weren't working together. Until they end up in the same place at the same time and Dean learns about (1/2)
I have theories that Dean was abused before I got him because he won't go in anything enclosed and that includes boxes.
