So it turns out that some folks are really going at in the park where I practice broadsword.
If I never need to build another hinged deck plate it will be too soon. It looks nice, but 4 bags of building basically the same piece 16 times got a bit monotonous.
All the structural pieces are done, it’ll be 3 more bags of saucer plates after this. Maybe I should take a break with some Mina the Hollower before attacking this again.
Saucer is really just starting to look like a bug. Also, come on Lego, two bags at once, really!?
I think with the spine design, before it gets covered by flat pieces, you could put the 3rd nacelle in without too much effort. The big gun under the saucer might be trickier because of this side edge, but it’s probably workable.
Ok, now I’m not sure if I’m building the Enterprise, or Galvatron’s ship from Transformers the movie
Batteries just ran out tonight folks, Ive been exhausted see the sun went down.
2 bags for the stand, 4 bags to build 2 warp nacelles and the drive section is complete. This thing is huge and I’m only halfway done!
So it wasn’t until the step to add the deflector dish that I started adding pieces that reinforce the connection between the two sides. The deflector is truly the lynch pin of the Enterprise. Also continue to love how a lot of the building is just build a huge chunk of hull and add it to a wall.
Putting the enterprise together hotdog style. I am amused that it was 4 bags for one half and 3 bags for the other half :)
The build has been pretty interesting too, it’s all of these interlocking plates that are attached together with side pieces :)
I did start yesterday, and after 4 bags it’s starting to look like half a drive section.
Ok folks, this kit is way too big, there are over 24 bags, 24 is just the highest number I saw as I was pulling out bags.
