Happy to announce that our new paper on the mysterious Luren languages of Guizhou has now been officially published. We show that one of them is related to the archaic #Sinitic languages Longjia and Caijia while another could turn out to be an isolate. #linguistics brill.com/view/journal...
Just submitted my #habilitation entitled "Studies in East Asian Comparative #Linguistics" at the University of Potsdam. Many thanks to all that helped make this possible. #languages #langsky
Excited that the first study on the #languages of the Luren in Southwest China has been published in "Cahiers de Linguistique Asie Orientale". We show that the Luren (now classified as #Manchu) formerly spoke two different languages, one #Sinitic and the other an isolate. (1/5)
