Good news for Gower habitats 🌳 Our conservation team recently carried out woodland and grassland condition assessments on two of our reserves in Gower, Gelli Hir Woods, and Prior's Wood and Meadow. The result... ➡️ All the habitats across the two sites came out as being in favourable condition.

Ahoy! 🏴‍☠️ The pirates have been up to good this time We'd like to say a big thank you to the Pirate Society at Aberystwyth University for their fundraising efforts. They recently held a community bake sale and raised £115.60 to support our work conserving seabird populations.

There have been several reports of rats in Martins Haven over the past month. Rats and other ground predators can and have made their way to seabird islands where they decimate seabird populations. Preventing predators like rats reaching the islands is our top priority. 🐀

It's World Rainforest Day 🌳 Our temperate rainforests are cooler than their tropical counterparts, but just as wet. And all that rain supports an amazing diversity of plants and animals. 🐦

Over the weekend (20/6/26) we were made aware of a warning “Be Careful Snares!” written on the sightings chalk board in the barn at Gelli Hir Woods. This morning staff have checked around the paths and found nothing.

Karen’s legacy Renovation of Parc Slip Visitor Centre was made possible in part thanks to a gift from a dedicated volunteer, Karen Morris. Her gift helped to improve the visitor centre and nature reserve that she had known so well.

Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊 Today we are celebrating our critical work protecting marine wildlife, and the dedicated teams who make it happen.

The seas should be safe for wildlife 🌊 But every year, marine animals are accidentally caught as bycatch. Around the UK, fishers and conservationists are already working together to reduce harm. Now the UK Government must act. Ask your MP to support action on bycatch: champ.ly/7e69s5_f
