PRAGMATA remains my GotY even months later, and the run has evolved even further since I stopped posting about my times I'd love to have as many of y'all tune in, experience this amazing game while supporting MSF, and perhaps consider picking it up for yourself after since we won't spoil too much
Alright gamers I posted about PRAGMATA constantly when it came out through to submissions closing, but I'm gonna again PRAGMATA is being run in roughly 7 hours from now by *the* WR holder himself, Snap, and I'm thankful to be included on the couch alongside the incredible @decosmic.bsky.social
30th run Need that sub-1:25 sooner than later Decided to try my own spin on the Eight phase skip and it surprisingly worked; need to lab it more to see how to make it consistent since this was a spur of the moment decision/attempt and it felt somewhat up to luck
Didn't play for the last several days so run 29 was a big derust that started abysmally, eventually evened out, pulled ahead with a gold in Experimental in spite of the run still feeling terrible overall, but then Aisling paused my timer late into Central Port so I lost accurate track 🤦♂️
28th run Confirmed not a fluke, or at least not entirely Feels really good to see no reds in this one because some runs truly make me feel like I've hit my skill cap and the runs I do finish are just luck to get to the end and/or be decent at all
26th run Uh, how about sub-1:28 instead This one feels like a fluke somehow but I'll take it. Just need to recreate it
24th run OKAY It's not a PB but it is another sub-1:30 making two in a row, and I recorded this one start to finish I think this is gonna be the submission at this point. Gonna upload the video but hold off on finalizing the submission just in case I get a better run today or tomorrow at a stretch
23rd run I was initially recording the run with commentary for a submission. Wasn't happy with 3 reds in a row, was surprised by the gold Mines, then so internally annoyed with the somehow 21s loss red in Experimental that I stopped the recording And naturally it's my first sub-1:30 Idk anymore
22nd run One skip one attempt sooner, not losing the 30 seconds that I somehow lost in CP, anything We were *so* close to sub-1:30 I have been streaming for hours fighting for this time and keep trying for one more Help, stop me, idk anymore
20th run New PB, *just* under 2 minutes ahead of the last one. Scraping closer and closer to sub-1:30, I can feel it in my bones Sub-1:40 on IGT is fantastic to see though, makes me feel like this will have stronger legs to stand on for submission if I can keep that going
18th run The SRC was officially opened today and with it came a rule change that we have to skip all cutscenes so as to not abuse the LRT- which we did 4 times (and really only those times) during Mines, so we forcibly have a 55~ second addition on all runs now But I still PB'd somehow???
17th run Couldn't sleep, decided to do one more practice And somehow it's my new PB? Which frustrates me deeply because I failed a skip in Mines for 90+ seconds so this could've been far better Once again tested some adjustments on Eight and this one finally paid off. Gonna try it again tomorrow
16th run Unfortunately not a PB, but it was a solid run for the most part regardless. I once again tested a slight adjustment to the route and if I didn't do that I may have actually been real close to tying my PB
15th run Broke the sub-1:35 barrier in spite of testing a slight routing change, attempting a new skip, and a scuffed final boss Got the usual pain skips earlier than I normally would which helped make up for some time here Pretty solid run overall
13th run Sub-1:35 was so close. If I got any of the platforming skips one attempt sooner or didn't get juked by the final boss on the initial cleanse attempt, I probably had it Baby steps.
12th run Got most of the skips pretty quickly which was great, but messed up the Digger boss in the Mines something fierce which cost me a solid minute at least
11th run Proper sub-1:40 both with and without the timing changes today Really need to remake my saves and start practicing all the bosses over and over with the current route's gear and upgrades. MPA, LM, and the mid-boss in CP all need better practice to avoid extra cycles that waste time
10th run Would've been my first sub-1:40 in spite of losing 3+ minutes on a skip because I was talking to family and didn't remember to hover instead of boost BUT Rules were changed today so time is now called as we transition into the final cutscene which adds about 1m40s So close 🤦♂️
9th run Getting faster in the first two areas after a lot of resetting, but I'm still losing time to skips in Sector 3 and both my Eight fights today have been scuffed as all get out so that's just free time once I get a handle on it again
8th run Took the weekend away, then used runs 6 and 7 to try re-learning everything on M+K and uh, yeah, I still don't really like it that much, but the reality is that hacking on mouse saves a lot of time and aiming is just better that way. Losing access to aiming-while-hacking is worth the trade
5th run, <1:50 IGT Added the RTA time underneath the LRT and changed when I'm splitting each section, but that's most noticeable for Central Port since I'm splitting it as I leave the area for the final restock/upgrade instead of when I return and enter the final boss arena
4th run First run with an IGT <2 hours, in spite of slow shopping Livesplit didn't save yesterday's PB somehow so ope Tried to learn M+K since hacking enemies is noticeably faster that way but I really can't stand how the game feels on M+K so I swapped back to controller halfway
I had another dream And I didn't think it'd be possible because I can't draw so I can't make it good, but just a few hours ago I stumbled into this adorable chibi from @hoshiiiiart.bsky.social via a random RT on Twitter and it looked very workable for the idea So enjoy this scuffed meme
