There are approximately 1.4 billion websites on the internet, most of which are likely to run JavaScript, some of which might be malicious. Because of the inconvenience of manually enabling JavaScript for maybe 0.00000714% you accept the risk of being exploited by potentially over 1.3 billion sites.
This is frankly the most annoying part of #GrapheneOS. Not only does it feel patronizing to have no control at all over when updates are being installed, it also kills ~10% of battery every time out of the blue, with no way to pause it in case one *really needs* it for more important things.

Every other day, whenever I pick up the Pixel Tablet and power it on I have to give it a good half an hour for yet-another update to be installed. During that period of time the device is barely usable at all. GOS should really give the user an opportunity to "Installing during the next shutdown".
Had a WiFi hotspot with me and my phone randomly disconnected (probably because it lost signal at some point) and immediately turned off the WiFi, without waiting for 10 minutes, despite the hotspot being close by. It also never reactivated WiFi to reconnect. Used CoMaps most of the time.
