When managing yourself constantly is the price of connection, your nervous system never fully relaxes. You’re monitoring, adjusting, translating. You leave feeling drained instead of connected because the energy required to stay acceptable is exhausting.

Real belonging means spaces exist where you can rest from that work, where connection is possible without requiring you to constantly disappear.

I had planned on getting my #Covid vaccine weeks ago but the pharmacy wouldn’t give it to me because I’m under 65 and healthy (well, not at the moment on the health part).
