Managed to get my blue moon ice cream for the trip right before I go back home

Went to the art store and got some 5"x7" hot press watercolor block paper. Seeing the difference in person is shocking. Cold press will suit better what I think i want to do - a more detailed/controlled type of watercolor as i don't seem to be getting the hang of the looser style.

Took some outdoor photos that are more fun than a plain background.

I don't know why they changed this and made it HARDER to read the timer on the clock. Grey on grey???

XL progress!! I altered the sleeve the wrong way, but I know how i want to do them entirely for next time. These are all mocks, but next im going to make Final versions after I decide how I want to do the pants/inner robes. Im leaning towards making it one piece illusion and not 2.

Commission wanted sherpa for the rice instead of regular minky. Never worked with it before, but sure! Ordered extra to make myself a sheep. Omg this stuff is so stretchy and might be a pain to use on the machine. I am excited to have a fluffy sheep later though

The body is done!!!!! Im so excited and want to start on his clothes, but my fingers need a rest. Pattern is the chibi human doll plush from Choly Knight/SewDesuNe with the face embroidery done by my own design, and altered the bangs.

I feel like in light doesnt show the pink as much but yeah :/

XL test coming along. Im still not sure about the hair by the ears, but i dont think its too bad in terms of construction. I just... need to make them even next time. Next step is working on the bangs and their swoop.

Capybara commission box set up! They want a pink one, so theres pink fabric under there. Next weekend doing the embroidery and tracing (pattern by choly knight)

So close!!! I had forgotten about the iris outline when I did the full face and had to add it in the digitized and didn't line it up well. But other than that im pretty happy with this! Im going to fix it up and do one more test run (my final fabric is limited)

I feel like i'm being crazy and making a embroidery sampler but then I remember doing swatch tests for art supplies is 100% normal and I did a sampler finding settings on my serger too. Like this is not any different. Just feels more intensive.

This is where im ending today/this weekend. Did 3 test eyes and at the point I need further research or advice to clean up the issues im seeing. Overall I think im happy with it. Im hoping most of the issues are settings and not design. (Excluding the left eye shine- I think thats design issue)

I might pin this so I dont have to keep searching for this thread lol I've been playing around with the eye and digitizing one or two, but still having issues. Redesigned the eye and going to try this one. I also studied other eyes Choly did and found what I was doing wrong in digitizing.
