living car-lite. usually found in the door zone. doomscroller shouting peaches for you peaches for me into the void. avid human.
100 people needlessly killed by motorists to July 21st 2026. Dead. Gone. Because of car brains. Absolutely tragic for their life lost and for their families dealing with the consequences.
Meanwhile - this shit government are banning e-scooters & fixating on hi-vis (again). Utter useless gobshites.
Found these keys on Boreenamanna Road today. I tried dropping them into the Garda Station in Mahon but it's shut. I'll try again tomorrow.
Guess what the sign says in front of the wank panzer. They probably couldn't see the sign because the front is too high. Parked outside a hospital.
Thank you for thinking ahead on this. You've seen it yourself in Ballintemple. All those footpaths should be extended to shorten crossing distance & prevent parking on the junctions highlighted. Even drivers can't swing out from Park Ave because certain business owners regularly park on the corners.
Thousands & thousands of barriers installed but not a single one used to protect footpaths or prevent parking on footpaths. Not a single one. But they do use them to block parking your bicycle. @corkcyclingcrew.bsky.social

Road train full of groceries & an 8 year old picked up from school.
In 19 days the stats have gone from 42 people killed by motorists up to 55 people killed by motorists. www.garda.ie/en/roads-pol...
Fuck these fucking things flying over all day. This one flew in over the back yard.🖕
PUiC want to put in what they call a "turning circle" here. But we all know it'll be used for parking on. This was taken when the barriers were moved this week & motorists instantly take the piss. There's very few places where cars can't go & they want to allow cars onto this pedestrian area.
The future that Irish motorists desire. The solution from Politicians will be "let's add one more lane".
Even the militarised version of a bicycle is highly unlikely to kill. Unlike the militarised-sized pickup trucks that we all see every day being driven by angry men who can't see over the bonnet.
1/ I see increases in people walking & on 🚲 in the last few months (before fuel protests). Each car here is carrying 1 person. As many NOT in cars as in cars at this junction regularly. Perhaps it's time Cork City Council left the Nazi site & started taking Active Travel seriously & prioritise it.
I didn't read of any this week but they may have been drown out by the wailing about the protests. The garda figures are YTD & were at 42 last time I looked which I think was last week.
That's the usual approach - cheap-out or install zero hard infrastructure that prevents speeding then expect motorists to obey signs. Bit further on past Waterford there's a junction - Carroll's Cross - where they narrowed the road & put up NO SPEED SIGNS. The infrastructure itself slows motorists.
