A12 #parkchat I’ll be doing an “Inspired by Yellowstone” Artist in Residence gig at Old Faithful Inn July 28-31, and at Lake Hotel Aug 4-7.
#parkchat you definitely do. Take a hike to Deer Haven in the Conata Basin, or off-trail it in the Sage Creek Wilderness. Absolutely beautiful.
A4 #parkchat Yellowstone can feel crowded/busy unless you hike just a bit or take the lesser known pullouts. Here’s Flood Geyser. Largest regularly erupting geyser in Midway Basin. The crowds are all over by Grand Prismatic. Sit here and watch Flood!
This is one of my favorite “zen” places in the park that doesn’t require ten miles of hiking. It’s thirty yards behind the museum to the south. Stroll, stroll, stroll. #parkchat
A3 #parkchat Hit the beautiful black sand beach behind the Wildlife museum at Fishing Bridge. Stroll along the lakeshore. Perfect!
A2 #parkchat Best time to visit: yes.😉. When is it busiest? July/August Yes, you can enjoy Yellowstone other times of the year. A bit more panning required for a winter visit, but definitely doable.
Sorry to hear that. You definitely need to drop by again!
A1 #parkchat Yellowstone has over 1100 miles of trails, with something for everyone.
Today’s word: PAREIDOLIA It’s the psychological phenomenon where the brain perceives meaningful patterns—usually faces, animals, or objects—in random or ambiguous visual & auditory stimuli. Examples: seeing a face on the moon, animal shapes in clouds, or a smiling expression on an electrical outlet
“Fishing Cone Sunrise”. Two weeks from today (July 28-31) I will be an “Inspired by Yellowstone” artist-in-residence at Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park. I’ll have this and other “Wonderland Beadwork” artisan pieces available for sale. #parkchat #beadwork #ArtsInTheParks #FineArt
A7 #parkchat big loop to include Shoshone Geyser Basin. That particular day was nearly a twenty-miler. 😳
Hubs and I do not “do” fireworks, yet our yard was covered in firework debris this morning! 😡😡😡😡
Lion Geyser. Surely the best fireworks are those of Mom Nature.
Where did you have breakfast this morning? Hubs and I ate breakfast at the cafe’ in the famous “Wall Drug”
My prairie plot is looking great despite the dryness here in SD
Finished today! “MISTY MAGIC AT OLD FAITHFUL” #InspiredByYellowstoneArtist Come see my work at Old Faithful Inn, July 28-31 #parkchat #FineArt #Beadwork
A12 #parkchat It’s a zany announcement, but Hubs and I got to see Ledge Spring erupt last week while on our anniversary getaway to Yellowstone. Ledge eruptions are pretty rare events. Fun to witness!
