There’s some legitimately great work. The art of Patrick Spaziante and Harvey Mercadoocasio was coming out in the nineties and adapted those early Genesis games, which was wild when you were an eight year old boy.

If you like this album, you should REALLY check out their greatest work, 2005's Fingathing and the Big Red Nebula Band, which is another kind of hike through wonderland, this time, presented as a 2001-esque space odyssey.

Tyler the Creator's Don't Tap the Glass is incredible. I don't really have a crazy amount to say about it, other than it's the raddest album to come out this year and you should listen to it. Sugar On My Tongue is filthy and wonderful. The rest of it is even better.

Something else I love is the americana work of Pokey LeFarge, and I highly recommend his latest album, Rhumba Country. Like something out of a time machine, Pokey's work is always so tight.

I'm personally really into their 2022 work BIB10, which I only just discovered but feels like if an electric guitar could give you a warm hug. Check out Off Goes the Light, and Sharratt, the first and third tracks on the album for a quick vibe check. I love it.

Fingathing isn't a household name, but they really fucking should be. You guys this is a DJ duo that makes electronica using turntables, and a double bass. Their stuff was formative for me back in the 2000s, and they're back with new work that's as good as anything from 20 years ago.

Another album I'm FUCKING LOVING right now, is Snarky Puppy's new album, Somni, which is a collab with the Metropole Okest and Jules Buckley, and oh. my. fucking. god.

By now, everyone knows who Kneecap are, but this album, 2024's Fine Art, is an instant vinyl buy for me, and a deeply connective, powerful experience.

All Young Fathers music is incredible, but this is an elevation -- The first 3 tracks in particular, Promised Land, Lowly, and Boots, set the tone for everything. Also, check out 2023's Heavy Heavy for some seriously beautiful stuff. Particularly: Geronimo, Ululation, Holy Moly, & Be Your Lady.
