biggest bug i’ve ever seen in my life. apparently it’s a cecropia! and will one day become north america’s largest moth! amazing!
spent all day in a mountain stream. saw many trout and little dace and ate a lot of cherries.
been watering the neighbor’s tomatoes whenever i water my (sickly) sunflowers. i don’t think my neighbor has watered any of the plants in several weeks so… today i ate a tomato from her plant. BONUS: look my first sunflower to bloom this year! i’ve never gardened before!! i’m proud!
walked a dog and ran around at twilight. saw so many beautiful rabbits and frogs!
taking the train back to vermont. this wonderful mechanical beast is bringing me back to Them:
camping! and went to a “wild center” and saw and otter and found a striped turtle in the woods. camping is the best. sleeping on the ground is nice. i saw a raccoon steal a bag of marshmallows off someone’s picnic table.
have you guys read this? oh my god you should read this? they have it at the library but only in large print which turns out is pretty luxurious.
the mtn i wanted to climb was closed for automobile racing (??) but i found a smaller mtn trailhead nearby and had a wonderful time.
went to maine this weekend and saw the ocean and cried because of how much i missed this coast!
the uncommented bit where rin is always reading about UFOs and such in laid back camp makes me laugh every time.
ramza’s spiky armor might be the best armor in anything. for all the obvious fantasy references in fromsoftware’s games i’m really surprised they’ve never done anything quite like this.
