Bringing Yorkshire Day celebrations to the high street 🌹 The charity's shops across the region have been getting involved in Yorkshire Day celebrations. Here are just a handful of the fantastic themed displays created by the talented Yorkshire Cancer Research shop teams.
Members of the team got into the Yorkshire Day spirit by baking sweet and savoury treats, all judged in a friendly bake-off competition. A big thank you to Bettys for lending their expertise to the judging, and to everyone who made it such a brilliant day! 👏

After four weeks of travelling a total of 500 miles across the region, the Baton for Yorkshire has crossed the finish line at the Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre in Harrogate 🥳
On the move in West Yorkshire 🗺️ Having travelled hundreds of miles across East and South Yorkshire, the Baton for Yorkshire has completed its West Yorkshire leg. The baton was carried by people with experience of cancer, charity supporters, researchers and community groups.

We're off! The Baton for Yorkshire has begun its month-long journey 🙌 Starting at the Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre in Hull, the first handover took place at @hyms.ac.uk, as supporter Josie and the Active Together Hull team passed the baton to Dr Cecilia Pompili and fellow researchers.
A major step forward for public health 📢 The Tobacco and Vapes Bill has today become law, phasing out the sale of tobacco to the next generation. This means that anyone born on or after 1 January 2009 can never legally be sold tobacco products, or have them bought on their behalf.
