Cats never strike a pose that isn't photogenic. - Lillian Jackson Braun……that’s how I feel whenever I cat-sit my neighbor’s cat, Bob. He loves to sit on the mantle or occasionally by my side. #ImageAndVerse #WatchingTVwithBob
Yes, and I thought it was such a great idea to place something to sit on in the center of the labyrinth.
The #BirdofTheDay theme is #ScreenFiller, a capture where the bird takes up a large part of the image. this little fellow visits us from April to October. He then leaves us and migrates north. #PineWarbler #Migratory
My sister, who is 72 years old, helps a couple of potato farmers from Ireland, who are in their 80's, maintain a small labyrinth up in northern Maine. It sparks joy for them all and I can't wait to walk through it the next time l go for a visit. #LabyrinthPortal
Never get tired of gazing at this view at Gulf Shores, Alabama. #GulfOfMexico #SoothingSanctuary
Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine for the soul. ~~Luther Burbank #ColourADay #OrangeSun #StunDay
The rising sun, and a couple cups of coffee, can really get me moving. Blessed to have a friend that lives on Barnegat Bay.
Any real, beautiful thing in this world shouldn't be tamed or claimed or broken. It should be allowed to be, worked with, not against, appreciated. Don't be afraid of the wild she has left. It makes her special. ~~Carly Kade, In The Reins Photographer, Morgan Gargus #HorseSense #GiveHerFreeRein
#BlueSkyArtShow I love the #soft waves on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico
There was no mystical future foreseen as I stared mindlessly into the still waters….. just momentary release and relief from the endless chaos of these times. #Reflection #WelcomeDistraction
“People are just as wonderful as sunrises if you let them be. When I look at a sunrise, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control the sunrise. I watch with awe as it unfolds.” ― Carl R. Rogers #MerrittIslandFlorida
Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting. ~~Richard Paul Evans #SiestaKey #GulfOfMexico
Not everyone shines like a beacon from a lighthouse, mostly we just flicker on and off, like stars, for those who were meant to find us. ~~Artwork by Lee Avison #ThisLittleLightOfMine
I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning. ~~J.B. Priestley #SunriseMagic
We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aid, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn. ~~Henry David Thoreau #DawnMagic
Every sunset is also a sunrise. It all depends on where you are standing. ~~Karl Schmidt #TwilightsBlessing
That was her magic—she could still see the sunset, even on the darkest days. ~~Atticus #ThrowbackThursday #FloridaFairyland
Here’s to the dawn of a new day, the hope of a New Year and the resilience to reclaim the best that lies within us.
here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart) ~~ e.e. cummings #@samcannonart.bsky.social
Magical sunsets stirred by a swirl of colors chase the clouds away. #Stunday #ImageAndVerse
Our neighbor was away visiting family for Christmas. We had the privilege of taking care of her cat, Bob. She cautioned us that he might knock the Christmas tree over. He was fond of tucking himself away in the tree but there were no mishaps. He was as photogenic as ever. #Caturday

My last sunrise on Sarasota Bay until next year. #SarasotaBay #WindowsOnWednesday
I have an osprey who comes to visit every day for lunch. He catches his own fish, of course. Today I got lucky with a few dolphins playing in the background. I apologize for the sound of the washing machine. #SarasotaBay
It wasn't the sunrise that took my breath away. It was the privilege of knowing that forces a billion times my own strength had silently merged in the first light of a new day to show me that I am part of something much bigger than all of the combined challenges of any day. — Craig D. Lounsbrough
Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections. —Tahereh Mafi #ImageAndVerse #MesmerizingMoon
We talk of communing with Nature, but 'tis with ourselves we commune... Nature furnishes the conditions - the solitude - and the soul furnishes the entertainment. —John Burroughs #ImageAndVerse #PathwayToSarasotaBay
