Our amazing WIRED Bradford group had the chance to show off their new audio tech skills at the final session at @bdartscentre.bsky.social centre last week. They wrote the songs... They recorded the songs using a DAW... They performed the songs for their families... A round of applause!👏🏾 1/2

Our Rewired free music technology club has reached the end of its six-week run, and here’s a taste of the final session last Tuesday, where the newly fledged audio creators showed their families coding with the BBC micro:bit and DIY electronic instruments inspired by the work of Daphne Oram.
🌟Layla Legard is a Leeds-based vocalist and musician who draws inspiration from landscape and place via archaeological research, imaginative and magical practices, and improvisation. She plays drums in Tristwch y Fenywod, is half of Hawthonn, and is currently working on a project called Axe Factory.
🌟Capturing the hearts of Bradford’s ambient electronic music lovers, Gilank are Alice Gilmour and shi Blank. Mixing synths, electronics & acoustic instruments, they've performed with santoor player Eeshar Singh, soundtracked a Theatre in the Mill play, and were featured on BBC Radio 6’s Freak Zone.
🌟Eleanor Hooper is a Sheffield-based singer, composer and sound artist making lyrical, voice-centred work that moves between song, sound art and installation. Her recordings, including her debut EP FIBRES, carry themes of ecology, memory and embodied experience.

🧄Celery was snapped, garlic bulbs rustled and spaghetti rattled at Shabang in Slaithwaite yesterday... .🍝..but instead of bolognese, we were making soundtracks! 🎬Eddie Dobson led a Foley workshop with a group of young women, who made their own sound effects and created pieces using Garageband.
