What did these people 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 he was gonna do? The naiveté of inviting Trump to speak -- let alone expecting him to be any level of gracious -- is itself stunning. How can we trust the WHCA members' judgment when they still don't seem to understand the psychology of this monster?
Speaking of butt-ugly planes, the first presidential jet was SAM 970, nicknamed 𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘦, in 1959. Nixon, as VP, actually used it first, to fly to the USSR in July for the American National Exhibition. Eisenhower flew aboard 𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘦 to meet with West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer a month later.
As you can see from this photo, Bribe Force One's livery is an inverse of that of Trump's private plane. The livery suggests an inappropriate melding of the person and the state.... and it's also just butt-ugly. Bribe Force One also lacks important safety measures, bc Trump wanted his new toy ASAP.
The new VC-25B Bridge was originally a Boeing 747-8I business jet operated by the State of Qatar. The Qataris originally expected to sell or lease it to the U.S. before Trump demanded it as a gift/bribe in violation of the foreign emoluments clause of the Constitution.
Loewy's livery has evolved somewhat since it was first designed for Special Air Mission 2600, but the lineage is clear. SAM 2600 was a Boeing VC-137C, a variation of the Boeing C-137 Stratoliner introduced in 1954. SAM 2600 is also where the famous photo of LBJ taking the oath of office was taken.
The call sign Air Force One was first established in 1954 after a plane carrying President Dwight D. Eisenhower entered the same airspace as a civilian flight with the same flight number. The traditional livery was designed by Raymond Loewy for JFK in 1962. Lowey was suggested by Jackie Kennedy.
The United States Space Force -- an organization whose existence as an independent service branch is absurd -- does not operate traditional aircraft. However, if it did, and if the president were aboard one, it would receive the call sign of... *snickers*... Space Force One.
Executive One is also the call sign given to a presidential helicopter transporting the outgoing president on Inauguration Day.
When the president flies aboard a civilian aircraft, the call sign is Executive One. On 26 December 1973, Richard Nixon flew aboard a DC-10, United Airlines Flight 55 from IAD to LAX, and it became Executive One.
There has never been a Coast Guard One. However, on 25 September 2009, then-United States Vice President Joe Biden flew aboard a Sikorsky MH-60T Jayhawk to view major flooding over the Atlanta, GA area. This aircraft was the first (and so far only) one to carry the call sign Coast Guard Two.
From 1957 to 1976, the Army and the Marine Corps shared responsibility for presidential helicopter transport, so presidents flew aboard both Army One and Marine One. Today, the Marine Corps handles presidential helicopter transport. A couple different models get to have the call sign of Marine One.
Similarly, if the president is aboard any aircraft operated by the United States Army, it receives the call sign of Army One. On the day of his resignation, Richard Nixon boarded Army One to leave the White House.
When George W. Bush landed on the flight deck of the USS 𝘈𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘮 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘯 in 2003 for his infamous "Mission Accomplished" speech, the dinky little plane he flew aboard -- a Lockheed S-3 Viking -- received the call sign Navy One. Because it was a U.S. Navy aircraft with the president aboard.
I know I'm being pedantic, but "Air Force One" is not the military call sign for whatever airplane the U.S. president is aboard. It is the call sign for any 𝘜.𝘚. 𝘈𝘪𝘳 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 aircraft of any kind that the president is aboard. Aircraft, including planes, from the other services get their own call signs.
No Star Wars. No Star Trek. Name a favourite scifi franchise.
Such a basic error. "Marine One" is not the call sign of any helicopter carrying the president; it is the call sign of any US Marine Corps aircraft carrying the president, helicopter or not.

Wait till you see Trump's new Great Seal of the United States!
This is insane. To write a long-winded, both-sides-y tangent about political violence increasing, yet only mention Jan 6 in passing, falsely imply it did not lead to multiple deaths (including of police), and to refuse to acknowledge that Trump incited the attack, is absolute dishonesty.
This is false. This is not true. In addition to numerous shootings at the White House, in 2005, a man named Vladimir Arutyunian threw a grenade at George W. Bush while he was on a stage in Freedom Square in Tbilisi, Georgia.
On the one hand, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in an ideal world, would not be a dysfunctional alcoholic. On the other hand, maybe it's better that the FBI director under a fascist regime is a dysfunctional alcoholic, lest he be better at terrorizing the nation.
"The pope is weak on crime" is an objectively hilarious sentence. But the image he posted on his social media gives up the game. Trump wants to be worshipped. He is about two seconds from declaring himself the Son of God. He's not. Caesar never is.
Here is a comprehensive reply to these specific allegations. Again: Most of these are just tropes.
