Freaked (1993) Humor hasn't aged, even got more contemporary at times. Prime "90s cinema pushed to the side of history for its existence". 4/5
Obsession (2026) Amazing acting, well paced, some the most effective shots and use of lighting I've seen this year. Knows the confines of the genre and 'wish fulfillment' formula and how it works to get a proper reaction out. 5/5
Grave Encounters (2011) Fun spoof on paranormal shows, does enough within its limits without getting fully ridiculous. 3/5
I don't want to kick down anyone deeply invested in the lore but I get the feeling too many fans are more invested in solving it rather than experiencing the tale. Early reactions to chapter 5 prove it as much. Anyway, what was the faq saying...?
Rhythm Heaven Groove Shares a lot in common with the GBA original for better and worse. Many parts feel like it ran out of a budget but the charm still remains despite that. Appreciate the new perfect ranks for the sickos. 4/5
Deltarune Chapter 5 Back to the lighter tone as characters continue to grow and more secrets start to unravel. Solid gimmicks and soundtrack that never misses. Slowdowns during final boss on Switch 2 were more noticeable this time. 5/5
Backrooms (2026) Great debut from Parsons. Not a fan of explaining the mystery or monsters but it was all done with finesse. Same goes for shoots and dialogue. Wasn't too interested in the story, actors carried it well. 3/5
All You Need Is Kill (2025) Good, satisfying story that doesn't leave much time for backstories. Visuals don't stand out until the end, otherwise loved it. 4/5
Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush (2025) It's pricey but I got my money's worth. New mode elevates the game to new heights, mixing in the thrill of a rougelike that makes the action more fast paced than ever. 4/5
Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion (2018) Those missions packs a punch. Especially if you try to speed through it. Almost made me throw my controller. And Agent 3 can fuck off with this fight. 4/5
Poco (2025) Charming creatures and detailed world, ended too quickly to my linking. Got stuck for too long, which naturally comes with the genre but it's free so there's no harm in it. 3/5
Pokemon Pokopia (2026) Omega Force keeps perfecting the Builders formula, all they needed was a bunch of creatures from the biggest franchise in the world. Addicting and satisfying. A Switch 2 killer app. 5/5
God Of War (2004) Didn't age all that much, great asthetics and variety of gameplay options. Too many tedious puzzle sections and combat areas that cause you carpal tunnel. 3/5
Angel's Egg (1985) Grim and mystical, feels like it must be felt rather than explained. 3/5
Bugonia (2025) Fantastic acting kept me in suspense and remains unpredictable throughout. Lanthimos' cinenatography still shines through. 5/5
Hollow Knight (2017) Good game that's focused more on emotional side rather than technical. Still, too content-heavy for a metroidvania, a common 'kickstarter game' problem. 4/5
Honest;y I had no idea what to put on my Nintendo Direct bingo halfway through
Still feeling cramps, no one home… so I’m balling instead. Getting a pizza, 2nd time at a new place. Last time was a banger.
