I'm gonna do a small recap on last night's primaries as there were two fairly important ones and some other bits First the big marque race of the night was the South Carolina Primary. This was the one that they had to rush and do due to Senator Graham's death.

Looks like baring an upset, which is still possible Peggy Flanigan, a first nations woman of the Ojibwe people looks like she will win the Minnesota primary for Senate. If seated she'd be the first Ojibwe or First Nations person to ever get into the senate.

I am not following the Wisconsin governor race. I cant even name the candidates but call me skeptical even if we ignore the entire Kalshi of it all

Well considering the Tea Party was largely backed by multimillionaires having a money fight (and who paid a lot of people to call it grass roots) and happily supported a bunch of wackadoo conspiracy theories I am not sure that is a positive comparison but you do you boo

My state has recreational weed, universal child care, several new laws defending trans rights, and stronger labor rights laws then several of the neighboring states so.... doing okay. Would prefer to keep the momentum with this govenror race.

On the one hand its good there are few polls in my state and the fundamentals seem to be pointing the way I want. On the other I'd like a little more data as this is a Governor race that will break several historical trends

My basic stance is if the Democrats take the House (which seems likely at this point) then the mlst effective tool for 207 and 2028 is constant hearings and investigations. Sure do some defunding of homeland security and other budget stuff but the most effective spanner is to investigate
