Why are vampires in #paranormal #romances always cool? I mean, we know people get stuck in their ways. Why wouldn’t vampires be the same? They wouldn’t be hanging out in a club looking all sexy. They’d be sitting at home complaining about how salad dressing used to be better. #booksky #indieauthor
I took this #photograph in December on a Christmas week trip to the Oregon coast. I remember being disappointed with the conditions most of that week, but in hindsight those photos ended up being some of my best taken out there. Shot on a Sony A7C2 with a Sigma 24-70 lens.
When your cuffed suspect starts dropping ice cold threats, you might be in a #supernatural #thriller messing with forces beyond your comprehension. #booksky #indieauthor Book link: rossweisfish.com/books/lost-t...
Final editing pass on my upcoming #vampire #detective novel and this is the kind of realistic adult spicy scene you should expect. 😆 #indieauthor #booksky
Hey #booksky, I’m sharing the first page of my upcoming (October 13th!) #vampire #detective novel, VDA: Double Date for #WriterShareWednesday. Working on final edits now. I’ll be posting the call for ARC readers later this month, alongside the first two chapters. rossweisfish.com/vampire-dete...
If you’re a hardworking FBI Agent chasing a strange serial killer but your parents still want you to show up for your niece’s Quinceañera party - you might be in a #supernatural #thriller written by an #indieauthor. #Booksky, I present - Shepherds of Lost Things.
#Street #Photography but it’s all flowers edition. All taken at the PSU Farmers market in #Portland this weekend.
Did a photo walk with Pro Photo Supply‘s camera club at the PSU Farmer’s Market. Was a really good run of #street #photography practice. Here’s a few frames from today:
Considering I ran zero promos, no ads, and didn’t do any social media posts this month… I’m pretty happy with these numbers. Starting in August I’ll be ramping up the posting/advertising/promoting ahead of releasing my next book, Vampire Detective Agency: Double Date.
Got to attend an incredible event last night at the Portland Japanese Garden: Dinner w/ sake served in artisanal cups from Japan. The view was amazing, the food was delicious, and the whole thing was so unique.
Final #photographs taken on the on the rented #Fujifilm #GFX100RF. I think ultimately it’s an amazing sensor+lens combo, doubly amazing given the size & weight. If I was going to travel the world for a year, this is the camera I’d want to take. As an every day shooting camera? Ehhh. Not so much.
Chasing that #OregonCoast #sunset. Shot on a #Fujifilm GFX100RF, straight out of camera jpgs with some light edits for brightness.
Another thousandish words written on Shepherds of Timeworn Dreams. After several false starts, a complete redo of my outline, and a few breakdowns... it feels like the book is finally coming together. I even took a few mins to rethink the cover art direction. #indieauthor #booksky
A few texture and vibe #photographs snapped yesterday of Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge (in #Oregon). The rock formations around the falls were so interesting. In the first picture it almost looks like teeth grinning behind the water. Taken on Sony A7C2 w/ Sigma’s 20-200.
Started the morning at the Vista House and then hiked out to see two different waterfalls. Ended the morning at a lavender farm.
This is where I came in at. Wish that some games had hit August or been pushed a bit. Control in September is just too close to Wolverine for me.
Some #photos snapped yesterday on the inaugural Pro Photo Supply Photo Club #photowalk Taken on a Sony A7C2 w/ Sigma’s 20-200 lens. Or as I like to call it “the fucking, bring every focal length” setup.
Still looking for a few #vampire #detective #readers who want to help test ready my upcoming #paranormal #mystery with a heavy dose of #romance. Check out my blog for details.
This street photo taken in St. Johns always makes me smile. Feels quintessential Portlandia with the ghost bike, mural on the building, and the plastic birds hanging out all in the same frame
I love a good #romance #book but sometimes I wish the story went on a bit more. That’s why for my #paranormal #mystery series I spread the drama of Veronica and Larry across three books. Book one is out. Book two is coming this fall. Now is a great time to jump on. rossweisfish.com/books/vampir...
Feels like a black & white #photography kind of day. Here’s a couple of my favorite #photos. All taken on a #SonyAlpha A7C2. Various lenses, but I’ll note how much I love Sony’s 24-50 F2.8 on my camera.
For your summer #reading may I suggest taking along Veronica, a sunlight hating vampire who just wants a quick bite and her snarky human companion, Larry, who is most definitely not her date. #booksky This #paranormal #detective story mixes #romance and #mystery.
A few frames of other people’s dogs. #photography #Sony A7C2 w/ Sigma 20-200.
Visiting Klamath Falls, Oregon this holiday weekend. Took a few #photographs today on my #Sony A7C2 with the Sigma 20-200. It remains a great travel lens. I’d recommend it to anyone.
My camera bag pin collection finally feels complete. This is the best a #Wandrd bag can possibly look in my opinion.
Out in #Portland this morning shooting for the #PDXSquared #photography contest. Started okay, but just kept getting grayer and wetter as time went on. Between recent life events and the weather - my creative juices ran out quickly. Snagged a few pictures before we stopped for lunch.
