Alberta NDP

Better is Possible.
Heading into the long weekend, many people are worried about the price at the pumps. For months, the Alberta NDP has called on the UCP to pause the provincial fuel tax, but instead the UCP has decided to make this the most expensive long weekend ever.
Disclaimer: This is probably not a real conversation. But it is a general vibe from the UCP.
It’s official! Angela Sommers is our nominated candidate for Red Deer-North! Her experience navigating Alberta’s education and health care systems reinforced her commitment to practical solutions that build a stronger, more affordable future. She's ready. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.
Danielle Smith and the UCP are making this long weekend the most expensive long weekend ever! Putting gas in the tank and food in the cooler has become much more expensive over the last few years. Albertans deserve a government focused on lowering costs and making life more affordable.
It’s official! Michelle Baer is our nominated candidate for Red Deer-South! A proud Canadian, and longtime Red Deer resident, she’s ready to deliver on the issues that matter most in Red Deer-South: affordability, healthcare, and education. She's ready. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.
The Alberta NDP is focused on keeping money in your pocket. That's why we released the first phase of our Alberta Affordability Agenda. We were at the Edmonton Riverhawks game listening to Albertans' concerns about affordability. Better is possible. Learn more at AlbertaNDP.ca/savemoney
Devin Dreeshen refuses to answer how he'll vote in his own party's separatist referendum this October. If you're asking Albertans to vote on the future of our country, you should be willing to tell them where you stand.
$300,000 for a website... and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Why are Albertans paying the price for this referendum?
It's always great to meet with CUPE workers who have been fighting for pay for work done during boarding, deplaning, helping passengers and keeping us all safe on the ground and in the air.
It’s almost that time of year! Join Alberta’s New Democrats for our annual Stampede Pancake breakfasts! Enjoy free food, live music from Dan the One Man Band, and a chance to mix and mingle with Alberta’s New Democrats and celebrate the Stampede season. RSVP: albertandpcaucus.ca/events

We're going to help make buying your first home easier. Saving a down payment is the hardest part. We'll expand Calgary's successful attainable homes program province-wide — with down payments as low as $2,000 and below-market pricing. /7
We shouldn’t have to navigate an endless maze of online forms to stop paying for something we no longer need. We'll require clear, upfront pricing, ban surprise add-on fees, and bring in one-click cancel rules so ending a subscription is as easy as signing up. /6
Whether it’s driving to work, swim practice, or a weekend trip to visit friends, when gas prices go up, it costs us that much more to get where we need to go. We'll fix the broken rules and remove the 13¢/litre provincial gas tax while prices stay high — saving many households up to $300 a year. /5
You're paying more and getting less. It's time we elect a government ready to do something about that. Alberta's NDP will appoint an independent grocery watchdog, end the covenants big chains use to block competition, and require clear labels when products shrink but prices don't. /4
Alberta has the lowest minimum wage in Canada. We'll raise it to $18/hour — gradually and predictably — then tie future increases to inflation. We'll also end the lower youth wage and protect workers' tips. /3
We'll cut your electricity bill by 10%. Your power bill shouldn't be a guessing game. Alberta's NDP will lower household electricity costs — including transmission and distribution — and make monthly bills more stable and predictable. /2
Life just keeps getting more expensive. You deserve a government that wants to help. Today, we're launching the Alberta Affordability Agenda — our first set of commitments to help you keep more money in your pocket. ➡️ See the full plan: albertandp.ca/savemoney /1
It's not a trick question ... why can't 36 UCP MLAs say they'll vote to remain in Canada?
