Haley, is there no one in your life who has told you to stop doing this? To stop being like this?
I’m talking about not covering every square inch in asphalt and strip malls until you can’t remember what happens when you stand in a meadow at dusk. What happens in a meadow at dusk? Everything. Nothing. Everything. Nothing.
Ahh this is so cool!! One of the plovers Ryan found was born at Leelanau State Park where I have been seeing these special birds since I was a little kid—they were gone for many years of high water but now they are back again and nesting successfully
was thinking that maybe finally i would get a beach day this weekend and, lol solidarity to the first nations losing their homes in northern ontario, i hope this ends soon, for all our sakes
It’s true! I grow native plants on my Chicago balcony and I get visitors like this absolutely pollen-drunk bumblebee all summer
I think this quote from the NYT is missing the most common Israeli government reaction to settler violence: enthusiastic, effusive support in word, deed, and funds
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Grand Rapids isn’t unmapped!! Their FIRMs have an effective date of 2023!
ja hoor my criticisms are also mostly with the coaches. posted this on IG and my cousins were like “you’re right!”
Yeah this was the year I finally got a real shirt instead of just wearing orange. So much for that!
this reminds me of the time i accidentally ordered like $100 worth of grilled prawns in singapore. they were so ungodly large
I have gotten really into native plants and I am a balcony container gardener by circumstance, so I grow native perennials as kind of a long running experiment. This is Year 3. I have two volunteers in this pot and IDed them as Canada Goldenrod and New England Aster. I’m super excited
I love this photo of @panarmstrong.bsky.social and his lifelong Georgia friend at the Riverwalk last summer because a lot of people would never guess this is in Chicago.
Logging back off and thinking instead about how Spirited Away’s music is like nothing I’ve ever heard and makes me feel feelings
Today is one of my favorite Saturdays of the year. Balcony season opening weekend! This year I’m doing natives in the hanging baskets in addition to my pots full of natives
Getting in … fashionably? late on the Charitibundi bowl this year (every great team needs fresh legs off the bench) but I searched my feelings and found this for today @hollyanderson.bsky.social @edsbs.bsky.social
