I saw this, and thought it was a joke, but no, it's real. That really is the caption The Guardian used. "Gianni Infantino carefully explains to Donald Trump that he is not part of the Spanish national team." www.theguardian.com/football/liv...
My Air Quality Index has finally dropped below 200 today! Yes, I was into the Maroon (the level beyond Purple) earlier in the afternoon. It was *nasty* outside.
I see that Donald Trump is a bit jealous of Mavic Chen and his title, "Guardian of the Solar System."
Look who's taken another cognitive test and had another physical. I've taken the cognitive test he's talking about. Why? I was under suspicion of a stroke. I stopped taking it when everyone was satisfied I had no cognitive issues. Bragging about passing it *again* is not the flex he thins it is.
My mom took up quilting in the 90s. This is a Paddington Bear quilt she made in 2008. I think it was for my niece; she was born that year. I was in the grocery store recently, and I saw a quilting magazine with patriotic designs. She would have wanted that magazine. Made me a bit sad, honestly. :(
It must be said. @countbinface.bsky.social may not be the hero Britain deserves, but he is absolutely the hero Britain needs.
I wonder who Laura Loomer's source might be. Her close, personal friend Donald Trump, perhaps? Though Trump would probably gloat publicly about Mitch McConnell being in a vegetative state, so who knows.
Already I'm hearing fireworks. I didn't realize anyone else in Pennsylvania would be marking the 250th anniversary of British naval hero Horatio Hornblower, born July 4, 1776.
I found a photo CD last night with photos from the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert Rally to Restore Sanity in 2010. I thought this sign was incredibly clever. As for the Rally, there's a reason Stewart ranks a very distant third of three on my list of Best Daily Show Hosts.
Dear Donald: If you want gasoline prices to come down, make peace with Iran and get the Strait of Hormuz open so the world's oil supply is not so constricted. Lean on your buddy Bibi and tell him to leave Lebanon and stop killing people, because that's an issue for Iran making peace. KTHXBYE.
You wound me, sir! I can fully comprehend the simple pleasures of giant slabs of cheese and onion on a roll!
I don't have a dog in this fight, but I wouldn't list Mormonism as a Christian church either. Its beliefs are so far outside of the historical Christian norms that it's effectively a separate branch of the Abrahamic tree, not unlike Islam in that regard. The Pentagon's labeling is defensible.
Of *course* the Trump administration would argue they have the right to tear down the Statue of Liberty; the Trump admin, and Republicans more generally, openly reject its message of "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearnign to breathe free." (h/t @kyledcheney.bsky.social)
I'm old enough to remember when President Bill Mitchell had a stroke, and his chief of staff, Bob Alexander, found a guy in Georgetown to impersonate Mitchell for a few months. (h/t @therickwilson.bsky.social)
"An AI consultant tells Axios one of their clients recently spent half a billion dollars in a single month after failing to put usage limits on Claude licenses for employees." 😂😂😂😂😂 www.axios.com/2026/05/28/a...
The Pearl Vision across the hall. My staff thought I should ask one of the women out who worked there. She lived in Rising Sun, Maryland, and she was either married or lived with her boyfriend, I can't recall which. I remember she was cute. My staff thought we had chemistry. I was oblivious.
Still, I watched a video over the weekend, a 20-minute stroll of the mall. My hall. EB on the left, behind the warning signs. Beyond that was a cigar shop and a mattress shop. On the right, a Pearl Vision, then Radio Shack, then a hobby/model shop, then a shoe shop. Victoria's Secret at the end.
