“Rest assured Commodore, I have my finest troops stationed at high alert. Only a fool would even attempt to breach this location.” - Lt. Cavendish, moments before disaster.
Very much enjoyed The Odyssey. First time I’ve been to an IMAX screen, and was blown away by the cinematography and soundscape.
Just realised I never posted this gribbly girlie! She was lots of fun to paint, and I think I can see some more Tyranids on the painting desk in the near future…
#Nerdlings does anyone know of some characterful 28mm Kobold miniatures? Looking for fun sculpts, with a good variety of swords/spears/bows/etc.
Painted up a Female Sphinx from Reaper Miniatures! I tried to make her wings look like a peacock- green metallics on top, a band of peach, and colour shift paint for the ‘tail’ feathers. Also included a cheeky ‘behind-the-scenes’ shot. Not very sophisticated! #nerdlings
"Well done, O mortals, you have solved my test. The ancient wisdom waits at your command. I'll speak the truth to any choice request. But you may ask me only one demand." “Really, just one question?” "Indeed. Farewell, O mortals, go in peace." ……. “Godsdammit Hamish!”
Finished playing Necromunda: Underhive Wars recently. Really enjoyed this game, which got a lot of criticism when it released. It captured the tabletop spirit, with great verticality and immersive maps. Operations mode really lets you differentiate gangs and feels like playing a proper campaign.
The Cadian XVth Airborne, in all their glory. Featuring Infantry customised with Forge World respirator upgrades, metal Kasrkin, and resin Vulture gunships. Nice to get them out of the attic and finally photographed. Better pics on my Instagram. #nerdlings
“Squad Bravo, deployment complete. Moving to objective.” Thought I would finally dig out my old regiment - the Cadian XVth Airborne. I painted these Back when the 13th Black Crusade was raging. Whilst they haven’t held up as well as my memory, I’m still pleased by the overall effect. #nerdlings
“Ready to unleash 11 barrels of hell!” - Baneblade Vulpes, 607th Cadian Superheavy Regiment The airbrushing I did with my dad still holds up ok, but my terrible freehand somewhat detracts from the overall model! Finally took a picture, as she’s going up for sale soon. #nerdlings
Now who is this happy chappie? An internet cookie to the first person who guesses correctly. #nerdlings
Oh my goodness - you almost never see Ankylosauruses in their natural Arctic environment!
Turns out my mum was super cool back in the ‘80s. She’s super cool now too, but she was back then as well. An original ‘Advanced Heroquest’ and Citadel Miniatures Speciality set. If I can find some feee time, I’ll attempt to restore these to their former glory! #nerdlings #AdvancedHeroquest
@wib.bsky.social & @snipethesorrow.bsky.social got something you might be interested in… It’s the 2004 ‘13th Black Crusade’ book. A retelling of the event from a completely diegetic perspective. Given your fondness for old odd pieces, I wondered if you’d like this for your collection?
“I’m not saying it’s impossible. I’m saying it’s impossible for anyone who isn’t us.” - Defiance cell Jevan, Rebel pilot R3-A7 astromech extraordinaire Sar’amar, Twi’lek saboteur Tarik, Imperial deserter Sabre the Raxshir …and Vrennen the Heavy Weapon Wookie! #nerdlings #starwars
Some more shots of the Goliath Hotrod. Converted an Ork Boomdakka Snazzwagon with a custom rivet cannon for the roof gun, and converted the driver from an Ork Boy to an ugly Bruiser. Think it’s come together quite nicely! #nerdlings #necromunda
“Oi, Orlock! Thought you could outrun a Goliath, did ya? Eat rivets scummer!” #nerdlings #necromunda
