Rough early character design for the upcoming FILTHY LAMBS! (By Pallie @paulallor.bsky.social, @sjanweijers.bsky.social & me, coming this Halloween from @madcavestudios.com).
When Pallie @paulallor.bsky.social, Ermitis Blanco & Brittany Peer team up and bring you a motorcycle chase, you'll feel the engine rumble your butt! I've just read BLUDWIRE #1 (sorry I'm late!) and the action is high octane, the violence is crunchy and the sex bots are messy. I recommended! 🤖❤️🤖
Mosy's second birthday party, sharing cake with his best buddy 🥳 🎉🐈🎂🐈⬛🎈
Ha! Shows what whoever the weirdo who put me on this list knows, because I've been OBSESSED with VR since the tech was first made commercially available in the 80s.
Go, Go Power Rangers! ❤️🩵🖤🩷💛💚🤍 Power Rangers: Green #2 (by @paulallor.bsky.social, @gustaffovargas.bsky.social, @eduke.bsky.social & @teaberryblue.net) has been announced for September and here's my variant cover for it! 🐲
I love it when I'm chilling on the couch for a bit and then start hearing a soft, snoring sound right above my head. And then seeing this when I look straight up.
Hey, I just beat 'Adventure' (Atari 2600) on level 2 for the first time in my life! Mwahaha I'm better than 6-year-old Chris.
Unused promo art to go along with a short promo comic I was commissioned to help create for the 2014 Jeff Bridges & Meryl Streep (and others) movie 'The Giver'. Still a little bummed it wasn't used, because I felt like I did some pretty solid design work here.
Caught a glimpse of a paused music video on @sjanweijers.bsky.social's iPad and THIS is exactly the kind of stuff that will instantly send me down an internet rabbit hole for potentially hours I can't afford to lose 😅
Dear #PortfolioDay. How do you do? *bows* My name is Chris and I work as a comic artist and illustrator based in The Netherlands. If you will please allow me to present to you (some of) the latest fruits of my most artful pursuits?
RED VECTOR #4 cover art: initial rough sketch to finished work. Weird, I hardly changed a thing this time! RED VECTOR, by @dbandry.bsky.social, @timdanielcomics.bsky.social, @sjanweijers.bsky.social, @bertacious.bsky.social, @jamesbemmett.bsky.social & me, available from @madcavestudios.com
I always felt Waverly on Wynonna Earp was a difficult likeness to capture, so I was very happy to hear from a kind Earper -who had brought up the comics when meeting Dom P-C at a convention- that they had expressed enjoying their comic counterpart "because it looks like me" 🥳
Spent all these years having Nacho Varga trigger my parental instincts watching Better Call Saul, only to just now discover Michael Mando is only three years younger than me 😅
Sometimes I wonder whether thinking that men who play loud music in public usually have terrible taste in music makes me a misanthrope, but then I remember that one time someone drove by loudly playing Hendrix in his car I thought "we should probably be friends", so no
Proud of our boys, who have never watched a single second of manosphere content.
Was also *super* stoked to see our own Shamier 'Marshal Xavier Dolls' Anderson show up in this movie and excellently hold his own opposite only THE Nicole @#$%@ Kidman!
Movie Night! We watched 'Destroyer' (2018), because Karyn Kusama. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a slow but straightforward, grim but also slightly revisionist 'bad cop' story, told with extreme confidence and imbued with a sense of receiving several sharp kicks in the heart.
in The Running Man (1987), a movie where the most popular TV show in the world is a gladiator show where people are hunted for entertainment as a distraction from the fascist dystopia it's held in, using an AI video to fake a contestant's death became the first step towards the regime's downfall.
I've been wanting to include Isabel and Alessandro from Monstro Mechanica in my #ValentinesDay art posts as well, but sadly we never really had the chance to hook them up properly. I made damn sure to take *every* opportunity to draw them gradually realizing they're kinda into each other, though 🥰
Happy ❤️ day! #4) #GIJOE (with @paulallor.bsky.social, Bri Peer, Neil Uyetake & Bobby Curnow)
