Some very nice insects in Kessingland Dunes yesterday evening when all the ladybirds had disappeared. I think these are Dune Robberfly, Silvery Leafcutter Bee and Grooved Sharp-tail Bee

We seem to have a bit of an arrival of 7-spot Ladybirds on Kessingland beach this afternoon. Millions!

Some nice micros trapped in Kessingland this past weekend - Nyctegretis lineana, Platytes alpinella, Agapeta zoegana and Catoptria pinella. The first one in particular being very localised. The joys of being on the coast!

Some rather lovely butterflies seen over the last couple of days in the Shropshire Hills - Marbled Whites aplenty, the last of the years Wood Whites, Small Tortoiseshells and the first Graylings

A surprise White-legged Damselfly that decided to roost next to my chair on our campsite this evening. Wenlock Edge, Shropshire Not bad when you’re chilling and supping wine! 🤪

A great day out in our NE Suffolk home area - Ferruginous Duck, Garganey, Sand Martin and Saucer Beetle at Carlton Marshes followed by Marsh Tit, Bloody-nosed Beetle, Comma and Dark-edged Bee-fly at North Cove

The Waxham Glaucous Gull was busy annoying the local Grey Seals today!
