Very excited to share Grétry's 'Zemire et Azor' tonight with our audience at Bampton Classical Opera. I think it's a very special little piece, full of colour and delight, and I've loved this process!
How odd. But then hourly probabilities aren't always the most useful. Last night the Met office forecast was as in this picture. I asked AI to do the maths for the probability of rain *at some point* during the night, and it came to over 98%. So I covered up the outdoor furniture. This was wise.
There are many who will not mourn, but I've just finished my last rehearsal in Maida Vale 2, and I will really miss this place, with all its history and quirks and ghosts.

Having dispatched Beethoven 5, Elgar Cello Concerto, Die erste Walpurgisnacht, Brahms Schicksalslied, Coriolan, Julia Wolfe's Anthracite Fields, Gabriella Lena Frank's Jalapeño Blues, two sets of National Opera Studio scenes, and rather more besides in the last 3 weeks, it's time for a KITTEN DAY.
Right then. 4.5 hours to Glasgow... Perfect chance to study this ahead of next week's Orchestra of the Swan concert.
