I cannot express how sad I am about today. This should have been a beautiful expression of our pride in our nation and how we have become so much more than our forefathers ever imagined.Instead we have circus-like sideshows, useless displays of nationalism attended by just a few disappointed MAGAts.
He messed up in the first one — you give your neighbor one of your cows and they give you one their bulls and now you both make more cows and share the milk with everyone. It’s pretty simple, I’m surprised they didn’t get it; but I guess it’s because they are all from a selfish point of view.
The basic core is that selfishness is only a survival trait for the individual — and even there, that only applies in a pre-civilization scenario. Democratic government exists to protect the human race. It is built on and from the principle that we all owe civilization a debt.
