The new changes to HOI4's division templates, allowing more support companies, is perhaps broken. (I have so many support helicopters embedded with my troops that my casualty protection is over 100%. So the Great Pacific War has cost Japan 2 million men, and I've lost NEGATIVE 16,000.)
I've only known Ruth for fifteen minutes, but if anything bad happens to her I'll kill everyone in Widow's Bay and then myself.
Apple TV's "Widow's Bay" boldly asks "what if the Mayor from Jaws was the hero of the story and also Leslie Knope?"
"I'm not the guy that you kill. I'm the guy that you buy. Are you so fucking blind you don't even see what I am?" Re-watched "Michael Clayton" last night. Continues to be one of the all-timers. A character study that loves its rule of thirds.
"Yes, I killed him. I killed him for money and for a woman. And I didn't get the money and I didn't get the woman. Pretty, isn't it?" What a way to start a movie.
Etsuko, the reporter character from previous scenarios, admired-slash-was obsessed with a horsegirl in her class who always beat her. But the horsegirl gave up racing after losing one (1) school match, so as an adult Etsuko has made a racing scenario that evaluates consistency over one-off wins.
Turn 9: My father, the Great Satan, has committed all of his reserves. The CAF drive for Denver was blunted and their supply lines in Texas disrupted. On the East Coast, Washington DC has fallen, but brave freedom fighters hold the Appalachian Mountains. But in the West, the situation is dire...
Turn 5: Turns 5 and 6 are often the nadir of American fortunes—the invading armies still have reserves, while I have spent the entire game taking losses and retreating. My SDI lasers are slowly coming online around the Great Lakes, but they are not yet enough to make a difference.
As a kid, this was the only game I ever consistently beat my dad in. In fact, I am UNDEFEATED as America. I'm stupidly proud of this achievement; he never went easy on me, so I knew my victories were legit. This weekend, batchall was declared. My unbroken record was challenged. SET-UP:
TIME TO PLAY MY FAVORITE BOARD GAME OF ALL TIME, SEMINAL AMERITRASH CLASSIC FORTRESS AMERICA (1986) (with the first edition box art featuring Saddam Hussein in a communist beret)
