Today's outing to the War Memorial Gardens was more idyllic than usual. Barely a ripple of current in the Liffey, people throwing tennis balls into the river for their dogs to fetch. So calm that even joggers seem far too active given the surroundings. Butterflies fit right in...
Someone in Sligo is going to enjoy a VERY early retirement, having won the municipal contract to supply hanging baskets - they're everywhere! Taken two weeks ago.

Just home from the Alternative Dublin Street Art walking tour - absolutely brilliant and I'd thoroughly recommend it. Rather than cramming in dozens of stops, it focusses on quality over quantity, so the guide can go into depth about the artists and how and why each piece was created.
