I came across this beauty yesterday on Barnes & Noble. For extra fun, look at the folder the woman is carrying in her right hand.
"I just saw a cool bird." "What did it look like?" "Black and white." "Unfortunately, that doesn't really clarify things." I'm not sure why so many of the birds on Seal Island are black and white. Maybe there's always a black-tie event going on.
This squirrel looks like she is waiting for her husband or kid to come home and explain the big stash of fermented acorns that she recently found.
I have a lot of random things in the shelves that I keep to the right of my computer desk. I have a stress cow, a seashell, a mushroom guy, White Blood Cell from Cells at Work, a soot sprite, a handmade teapot, candles, index cards aplenty, and more. #StetChat
Did you know that Vermont has its own lake monster like the Loch Ness monster? He's named Champ, after Lake Champlain. Our local baseball team, the Lake Monsters, has him as their mascot.
There should be a Batman character (villain or hero) named Razorbill who wears a black-and-white costume that mirrors the razorbill's amazing eyeline, wingliner, and beakliner.
Puffin on the left: "You saw it move too, right?" Puffin on the right: "I did!" Middle puffin: "What are you two talking about?"
When you and your partner show up at a party, and wonder if you're even supposed to be there.
Very happy to learn that while a puffin baby is called a chick, it's also often called a puffling. This puffling, Tillie, is so incredibly fuzzy! Follow her adventures here: explore.org/livecams/puf...
And another example of why spelling/spacing in English often doesn't make much sense. I'm not blaming @merriam-webster.com, this likely isn't their fault! #AmEditing
Me when I get startled by something that isn't at all startling.
Oh to be a puffin, loafing on a ledge. explore.org/livecams/puf...
On my walk yesterday, I saw two chipmunks. I had to take a photo of one enjoying some fallen seeds for @paweldaruk.bsky.social.
I need to find the right one. These are my current work buddies. I don't add to them all that often because I don't want to have too much clutter. There's also a soot sprite that's next to the mushroom guy.
I was looking up sheep terminology, as you do, when I came across this definition that I have to share. Credit goes to www.accidentalsmallholder.net
Garfield looks a bit like Marley, one of neighborhood cats at our last place. Both have magnificently fluffy fur.
I like the dog's humorous thought balloon on this sign about sharing a walking/biking path.
Is it just me, or does this remind anyone else of the Lisa Frank folders and notebooks from the 1990s?
Aren't they adorable? I love the racing stripes they have down their backs. Here's a picture I took of one atop a stone wall.
We came across a fairy door on this public fence at a nearby park. I like to think of chickadees and chipmunks stopping to take a sip from the bottle cap fountain.
Another Star Trek: DS9 title card. This one is for my fellow elder Millennials and Gen-Xers. @bean525.bsky.social, thanks again for creating this template!
The long-awaited Vulcan and Ferengi crossover. This was my husband's contribution. Thanks again to @bean525.bsky.social for this awesome template.
