My mother - without a shred of irony or self-awareness - sent me a pair of socks for my birthday with a black sheep on it. I guess it's nice to have a pair of socks that matches my tattoo of a Hebridean ewe and her Ent. Gosh, Goldberry, why do you have a tattoo of a black sheep? Goddamn mystery.

Edits using my highlighter tool easily turn the official photo into a zombie complete with glowing coins over his eyes to pay his passage across the River Styx. He stole those coins from kids that needed school lunches. Also a professional photographer named Flashnick is hilarious.

This took all of 3 minutes. Its a screen shot from the goul's wiki page. I used the highlighter tool on my camera app. The glow around the horns is an artifact, and quite frankly, a nice surprise.

Did a self-portrait/10 minute sketch challenge. It's been a very long time since I've tried to draw people. No idea if I've ever seriously tried to draw a cat. But I like this. It's definitely me.

Pencil sketch on the back of a security-lined business envelope. The sketch is a 2D bust of a woman with frizzy fairy buns, glasses, gin& tonic earrings, a slightly sarcastic smirk. She's wearing a button up shirt with axolotls on it. Instead of having arms, there's a cat with it's front paws crossed, laying across a pillow. The cat isn't actually as scraggly as I made her look here. I'm definitely as sarcastic as I made me look.

Omg. Reminds me of Mother Ginger!

Mother Ginger from Pacific Northwest Ballet production of The Nutcracker. MG is an exaggerated character, dressed in an over-sized pannier-skirt, puffed sleeves, and a dramatic poke bonnet. This version of MG is drag (often is). The skirt has a curtain to allow the candy children to dance out of like a miniature stage curtain or a circus tent. This version is sunny yellow, pink, and blue.

This is my second-favorite place I've had wasps try to live in a garden. A few years ago they put a nest in my dragon skull's nose.

The shadow up the nose of this plastic dragon skull is a wasp nest. I freaking love Nature.

My skeleton lawn flamingo (guards my office window year-round) has a wasp next in it's ribcage. Sorry the photos are blah. I didn't want to disturb them. They've done a marvelous job hunting pests on my tropicals. Gardening is so metal.

I have a rose bush now. I thought I wanted a crepe myrtle, but those get BIG. 🌺🌸🥀💐 Variety Calypso. Gentle rose scent. Lots of blooms. Quite a happy, dainty addition.

A shrub rose. Rich forest green leaves. The bloom is smaller than my palm, very open, with dozens of pale coral and white petals. Variety is Calypso. Whiter blooms can be seen in the corners of the photo. They get paler as they expire.

I just spent too long playing with nail polish. Haven't done that in ages. Aimed for Hobbit energy. I'll spare you the Eye of Sauron on my big toe. 😆 I'm so rusty.

A blurry picture if my left finger nail. It's painted pastel with a round, dark green Hobbit door in the middle. Spots of yellow, magenta, and royal purple are a sort of impressionist flower look. Yellow and white dots against the light blue are supposed to be sky.

Caturday! Tho, technically this was from last night. Its much soggier out today.

Two tuxedo cats investigating the garden. Big Boi is the same size as the lawn flamingoes that mark roughly where I planted beets, turnips, and radishes. Miss Priss is looking at the camera, judging me.

Miss Priss is happy her Lap has returned from a weekend camping. Imagine two whole days she got no pets, no Lap, and didn't get to go out onto the deck to yell at the robins.

I'm reclining in a blue & white tiedye sundress. The photo is centered on my torso. Only the bottom of my face - smiling- is visible in the upper left corner. A long, slinky tuxedo cat with turquoise eyes is draped across my stomach and lap. Her ears are perked up because she's listening to her papa vacuum.

I'm not sure about the Necromancer tiki shots, but my eyeball garnishes are even more fabulously horrifying than I hoped they'd be! Longan and lychees (I like the look of the longan better) + frozen blueberries. 🖤😍🍸🧉🍹👁️🧙‍♀️🧛‍♀️

A half sheet pan with a silicon mat. 50 longan and lychee fruits with blueberries that had been frozen in their pockets. The juice from the berries has stained the crevices on the fruits. They look like veiny eyeballs. It's marvelously horrifying. 11/10. Can't wait to inflict on my friends.
