Every flight into DCA in the last hour and a half was held at origin or diverted due to ”VIP activity” except a JetBlue flight from the airport Trump stuck his name onto that was allowed to land. Was a legit VIP actually flying JetBlue? Or did Trump make an exception to benefit one of his buddies?

Nice time at the Wilson Warbirds game last night despite a rain delay of an hour and 15 minutes. Gorgeous new ballpark, but none of the heart that Fleming Stadium had. RIP to the Wilson Tobs.

Last night at Hub City FC in Hagerstown, Maryland, I saw the Black Roses fall 2-1 to District Elite FC in some NPSL action. But I did try my first ever dirty soda. Good crowds, great matches experience. I was very impressed.

I work in a store a little larger than a regular corner shop, and a little smaller than a supermarket, so from my position at the tobacco counter, I can see customers coming and going.

I see a customer walk in with no basket or trolley, and within minutes, he’s walking back out. It’s very obvious he has a bottle of wine down his trousers (he wasn’t THAT pleased to see me).

I watch him (through the glass doors) casually walk out into the car park, up to his car, open the door, pull the bottle out from his trousers, place it inside somewhere, and close the door before walking to another shop using the same car park.

What I did not see him do was lock his car.

Being a slow day, I walked outside to his car, opened the door, and found the wine under the seat. I picked up the bottle, returned to my shop, and placed the bottle on the shelf. I then got back to the tobacco desk just in time to see him walk back to his car, open the door, and look under his seat.

The procession of facial expressions that followed provided literal minutes of entertainment.

“Voting for Kamala Harris is condoning war crimes. I don’t care me staying home and not bothering to vote gets Trump elected. It can’t possibly lead to any more war crimes than are already happening.” Yeah, how’s that working out now?

In his initial remarks at the White House news conference, Trump threatened to take out the “entire country” of Iran.

“The entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night,” Trump said.

He has given tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET as the deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a major shipping route for oil, or suffer the widespread destruction of its infrastructure.

Remember that drunk and belligerent kid at UConn who went viral for angrily demanding jalapeño bacon mac and cheese? He's in the Epstein Files. Not for anything new, but because Epstein's buddy sent him the story. It includes this quote, which also applies to many other people in the Files.

Checking out the Fall Stars game last night with folks from @stadiumjourney.bsky.social and the Ballpark Chasers Facebook group. Great experience. Top prospects, six minor league mascots, fantastic stadium, great crowd of true baseball fans. One of the best baseball experiences I have ever had.
