Yesterday we found a polyphemus moth caterpillar, and as every child learned of its existence through the playground whisper network, every child came over to me to make sure I had seen it also. I looked at that rad ass caterpillar like 20 times and it was great, 10/10

Forgot I promised some stuff to a craft fair fundraising for families impacted by ICE so I'm about to see how many of these I can knock out in my spare time before Friday

Ok I did a pretty fuckin good job

Bout to have the world's coolest birthday boy

Birthday crown sewing project in process. The background fabric is a print of felt tip pens arranged in rainbow order on a white background. On top of that are dragon wings that look kind of like stained glass but are made of cotton and felt, also in rainbow colors but darker. The project is unsewn and sitting on the ironing board.

I just really love the "nightmare fuel" stage of art

2 art projects from a kindergartner, I'm not capable of an alt text description that will do them justice but I will try: the bottom one is on black construction paper, it is a human figure cut out of magazine pieces. The head is a turkey sandwich on white bread with googley eyes. The torso is a cob of corn. The legs are both cut out of a picture of maybe strawberry french toast with powdered sugar? The arms each appear to be a crostini with grapes, walnuts, and herbs. The top picture is a person drawn in crayons on white paper. The body is outlined in orange and inside are light blue dotted lines, a red zigzag, and lime curvy lines. In the hip or leg area is a pink curlicue. At the head/neck area is a grey dotted line. So my wizened old man Maurice has been blind in his right eye for a while... When we woke up Thursday, he refused to open it. I emailed my vet but in the meantime I've been tea bagging him and he opened it this morning and I am delighted by how often this has worked for me
