𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲!🚲 Bikes are many things: freedom, transport, exercise, adventure, independence, fun - sometimes all before breakfast. Because the best thing about cycling isn't the bike, it's where it can take you.
Thanks to everyone who emailed Kingston's party leaders, Labour and the Greens pledged to build a safe local cycle network while the Conservatives expressed support for safer cycling. Last call for the Lib Dems to match that ambition and strengthen their active travel commitment.

How does this rain garden work, then? There's a ~25mm upstand of granite that stops rainwater getting to the planted area on the south side, but water can flow in from the north side. Has this been implemented correctly? Lots and lots of stone in the "soil" too.
NEWS: Contractors working for Kingston Council almost filled in the large pothole on Latchmere Road 🙄
We're pleased to see that the traffic filter on Lower Ham Road is being constructed in permanent materials, and especially pleased to see the removal of the speed hump.
We've reported a couple of potholes in Staunton Road and Latchmere Road to Kingston Council. You can report pothole and other issues, too, through their website. Potholes and pavements | Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames share.google/sBUgwJCzPOyH...
Kingston's roads condition is rated "Red" (lowest) by the Department of Transport, but the rating is based on incomplete information...
Hi @theroyalparks.bsky.social, please can you get someone to look into this pothole in #RichmondPark? It's about 150m(?) from Ham Gate. Thank you!

Do you know someone who would be good at this job? careers.kingston.gov.uk/jobs#/(ole-o...
A trio of male balaclava-wearing e-motorcycle riders has been seen in #RichmondPark today.
Lots of new signs in #RichmondPark. Not seen this design for "slippery cyclists" anywhere before.
'Tis the season where we struggle to get Kingston Council to sweep up leaves on pavements and cycle leaves 🎄🍂. When we reported these leaves in the cycle lane the case was closed with the comment "Unable to remove or clear" 🙄
Uh-oh! Repairs to a high voltage cable mean that the cycle track on Kingston High Street is closed at the junction with Kingston Hall Road.
We've spotted more bike parking stand installations. Locations: Clarence Street outside the KFC and the new apartment block "The Rex", and on Kings Road.
Seems that what is possibly the busiest cycle route in the borough was closed without warning or consideration of cyclists. #SkerneRoad
Terrible NEW bike parking installed by Eden Walk shopping centre. We'll ask the Council to request its removal. #KingstonBikeTheft
The obvious thing is to remove the planter box, which obscures the views between drivers. It's not needed. There is a No Entry sign on a post. Also, drivers on Park Road need to drive within the speed limit.
We've been told that there's a lot of opposition to the trial measures in Kings Road, Tudor Road and Crescent Road. Probably the most anger has been at the Crescent Road change. Kings Rd and Tudor Rd are not permanent changes - still only trials. Survey: www.kingstonletstalk.co.uk/highways-and...
The new LCC map of 'Dangerous Junctions (for cyclists) in London highlights the risks in north Kingston. Most dangerous junction is assessed to be Kings Road with Park Road (mini roundabout), 3rd is London Rd juntion with Birkenhead Ave (opposite ASDA), and #4 Queen's Road/ Crescent Road.
The kerb 'upstand' is minimal there because the junction has been built as a very, very subtle "raised table".
Hi, the crossings for cyclists going east to West are shown here in green. The red line is what cyclists should not be doing as they would be going through a (Toucan) crossing being used by pedestrians and potentially cyclists. The layout is confusing and lacking in markings and signs.
