For the Prize Zone, one of my favorite landmarks that I learned about was the First Avenue & 7th St Entry music venue. Instead of putting bands onto the stars, we added the names of SGDQ 2026 speedrunners who were from the MSP area. 2/3
Now that #SGDQ2026 has wrapped -- I'd love to talk about the set designs I did! I was asked to incorporate Minneapolis into the sets, so I spent a lot of time studying MSP landmarks. I decided to do a modified skyline on the interview set and added a bridge arch motif to the bottom. 1/3

So it turned out I didn’t have enough red food coloring, so I had to make green velvet instead. 😅 Still very tasty. It just definitely looks like moss. 😂
I am a very creative-minded person and thrive in fast-paced environments. My favorite parts of AGDQ were when I was able to quickly pivot and improvise to enhance the content being produced.
2 years ago, I was watching AGDQ for the first time and set myself a goal to find a way to get involved enough to be able to influence the interstitial set design. Now it’s my job. 😊 I was able to create 3 distinct sets in a very small space with limited resources and I’m very proud of it. 💜

Press Play 2025 has wrapped and while I am incredibly sleep deprived, my heart is so full. What a magical experience to see this event blossom from just a concept a mere 6 weeks ago. Everyone involved was so passionate about making something great and the vibes were immaculate. Here’s to 2026! 💜
