There are some walkers in the lounge at the moment. Felix, the Tuxedo cat, is curled up on the floor under the walker. Nismo, the little black cat with a white dot on her chest, is curled up on the cushion on the lid of the walker basket.

Had a lovely lunch today with some Twitter/Bluesky peeps. It was great to see @witchnwords.bsky.social @eloquentsonia.bsky.social & @suzirose.bsky.social again. And lovely to meet @memycoffeenbonsai.bsky.social & Rose in person! Thanks for the lovely company (& the tree!).

One of the big Totara stump and slices of trunk with me standing by them for scale (I am approx 5 foot or 155cms).

I am standing by a felled Totara tree. I am wearing jeans and a red and black top, jacket and scarf. The stump is on my left and there are several slices of trunk on my right.

The house we rent sold. Last week we had lots of trees on the property, including many natives including some Rimu and 3 big, old, beautiful Totara. Last night, out the front, just the 3 Totara remained. Today they are gone. 🥺😪

The last Totara standing before it was felled this afternoon. The sky is blue behind the big, old, magestic tree.

First Totara to come down. It has been chopped off at the stump and is lying on the ground.

And then there were none. Two if the big Totara tree stumps and some of the truck chopped up.

Nismo (aka Missy Moodle) had to go to the vet this week. They shaved off her white spot to do tests. So now we can see her skin white spot instead of a fur one. 🐈‍⬛🇳🇿 She is ok. Just has a bit of a sensitive tummy. So now needs the expensive food!

I have officially moved in with Graham. 🥰 So I now officially have pets! 🐈‍⬛🇳🇿 And a much bigger library! 📚🇳🇿 I have also started my business. I am still currently working at the Retirement village. I am still helping Graham to support his friend with Parkinson’s dementia. Will be helping a mate too.

It’s the last day of my June fundraiser, Cup of tea for MND. Thank you to those who have donated in person or online. I had an afternoon tea at home on Sunday and another at work today. They went well. www.mndactionmonth.org.nz/larissa-cleave

Afternoon tea at home. There were 4 teapots on the table. The green teapot had green tea. The metal teapot had pomegranate cranberry tea. The blue and white teapot was earl grey and the white teapot was English breakfast tea. We had baking and cheese and crackers. It was a lovely afternoon catching up for a good cause.

The work afternoon tea for MND had baking and 3 pots of tea laid out on the stainless steel counter between the kitchen and lounge. We had a pot of green tea, a pot of Dilmah English breakfast and a pomegranate and cranberry. Another lovely afternoon.

I didn’t have much time or energy do it is short, and not me best work. But I did it.

My short submission in a nutshell it says I support the bill in its entirety and also that I would like to see further changes to how we treat drug use and addiction. I want to see this bill, drug testing, and reform to treat educate or treat rather than to punish.
