13/ I slogged thru @proton.me website, trying to figure out their products & prices. I gave up. It's such a mess. Below, my notes on their pricing. Note - there are different pricing charts scattered around, with different product groupings. No clear way to obtain a comprehensive list. Sorry!
12/ I have slogged through @proton.me website, trying to understand their products. It's a mess. I kept running across new products, features, pricing plans. They don't agree with each other, use the same names, or list same fees. Below - updated list of products / features (in violet font)
11/ Personal summary of @proton.me products and features. I slogged thru their mess of a website so you don't have to. No guarantees. Use at own risk. PART FOUR - Proton Meet
10/ Personal summary of @proton.me products and features. I have slogged thru their mess of a website, so you don't have to. No guarantees. I did my best. PART THREE - Proton VPN - Proton Pass
9/ My summary of @proton.me products and services. I wondered their mess of a website, so you don't have to. No guarantees. Use at your own risk. PART TWO - Proton Drive - Proton Docs + Proton Sheets - Proton Calendar (had to keep updating these, as feature descriptions are hidden in weird spots)
9/ Have you ever wondered if Proton @proton.me has more than email? I wondered their mess of a website to extract their products & services. I SHARE my findings with you. Use at your own risk. I did my best to be correct and accurate. It was a slog. PART ONE - Overview - Proton Mail
7/ @proton.me Have you READ your own content? What does this even mean? YOU can "EMPOWER" my "mission"? Are you going to be my Board, do my fund-raising? You provide "office tools" - not "empowerment". Do you know what a turn-off this language is??? Did you just dump random "marketing words"?
3/ Do you know people read plain text in standard format, left-justified, single column, considerably faster than text inside boxes, or randomly displayed on the page? Reading text inside boxes literally requires MORE WORK, leads to lower comprehension & retention, higher likelihood of leaving page
2/ Proton - try this. Take ALL the text from your product descriptions, remove all the marketing fluff, keep ONLY the words that describe your products. Less scrolling, more content - higher levels of trust. Below, I condense SEVEN SCREENS of fluff into two sentences of actually useful information.
Dear @proton.me - I hear such good things about your products. Why is your website crap? I want to get details on your products, not read marketing fluff or scroll through 7 PAGES to learn you also have a spreadsheet app. 1/
Are you following this account? Why?? No bio, just hashtags. Doesn't appear to post anything. Just "reposts" generally lefty topics. Which can be done by an algorithm. Is following an unbelievable 50k accounts! I don't think this is humanly possible? Verify who you follow!
I got a DM supposedly from Dr Lynne Filiatrault that looks like a scam? Over on Twitter. Is she checking her account? @beansproutsmom.bsky.social @jvipondmd.bsky.social @sameo416.bsky.social @chantzy.bsky.social #covid
A competing Cdn new social media site. Leans towards marketing taglines, but - critically - includes images of the interface. So you have some idea what it's like before joining. Full names. A blog with longer explanations. gandersocial.ca
By way of contrast, here's Bluesky website. All text. Explains how it works. Explains tech people might not understand (like AT protocol). Informative. No jiggly, moving, "wow!" decorations. bsky.social/about/faq
Here's your entire current website, without all jiggly / moving bits and w/out images. It's all marketing taglines. No actual content. How do you post? More like Bsky or FB? Groups or public? Image-heavy or micro-blog? How is it "transparent"? Secure? Who are the "advisory"? Jessica Who? ...
@eh-now.bsky.social Went to your website to learn more. Your website is unusable? Everything jiggling around, most of the sections look cut-off? Can you modify your website w/out all the motion? With more content & actual details? web design is not necessarily app design...
3/Interview w/ Dr Henry, after SARS1, she again insists SARS not airborne. By then we KNEW primary spread airborne. The "masks" she mentions are surgical masks, not certified for airborne infection. She worked w/ TB, same size as SARS. Everything that size aerosolizes. She's covering her ass.
2/ Unlike Dr Henry, who fought against "airborne" designation for SARS1 (2003) and SARS2 ("covid", 2020), BC Dr Filiatrault treated SARS1 w/ airborne precautions. BC did not have an epidemic, no hospital staff died or got infected.
1/ Architecture has "form follows function" - where functionality is king, and aesthetics come second UI design has "look" (aesthetics) and "feel" (functionality) Functionality is measured, and regulated... ISO 9241 A "beautiful" design that interferes with completing tasks = failure
Have you looked into elastomeric instead? Well-fitting solid (soft) mask, with replaceable filters. Much cheaper after a month and ridiculously cheaper after a year. Seal is better. Generally more comfortable. Pictures show a Flo Mask. Shows more face than N95. Has adjustable head straps.
Surgical masks only certified for fluid protection, not aerosols. "Baggy blues" as effective as cloth mask (30-40%). Aerosol just go through the gaps. KN5 (90-95%) very comfortable, highly breathable, actually protect against flu, cold, covid, TB, wildfire particulates, ... About $1.50/ mask
The same CBO calculation says overall expenditures on health would decrease $0.7 Trillion per year, or increase up to $0.3 T. Yes, the cost would move from "out-of-pocket" to "taxes", but overall cost per person decreases. It's not like a brand new service being offered, just stabilizing the cost
"Psychology Today"? It's a magazine. No idea what qualifications they have or whether that's just paid ads. Please point him to listings of certified therapists in his area: APA for "psychologists": locator.apa.org AAMFT for "therapists" like MFT: www.therapistlocator.net
Ah. In Canada, current constitution (1982) encompasses previous constitution (1867), which incorporates all laws, treaties, etc previously pertaining, which, as colony of Britain, does indeed go back to Magna Carta. US "Constitutional" stuff - much more clean cut! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constit...
Campbell Commission about SARS 2003 in Toronto found health system failed "follow precautionary principle". An error Dr Henry repeated 2020. First identified as "TB-like", Henry & others refused to institute airborne protocols & fought against nurses doing so www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...
@blueskystarterpack.com 1/ Oh my - you've really downgraded yr website! Previously, a search resulted in a LIST. Now - a mess of BUTTONS. People EASILY scan a LIST of 25 entries. Buttons? Perhaps 2-6? On my screen, I could previously see MANY potential Starter Packs, now - 2 buttons Compare!
In yr examples, the content (not titles), ratings are "Middle (Centrist)", "extremely close to dead center", "neutral/fact-based", "Center" @gandersocial.bsky.social forces a rating system on its users, which fails to reveal the actual ratings When open-source allows user choice. Like Bluesky.
Both of those reports list CBC as centre. "AllSides" is an American company I'm not sure there is a Cdn bias-checker. But that's not the issue. Gander is forcing their political views, by not allowing users to choose their own, or opt out. www.allsides.com/contact/team
