Rook is given the opportunity to work for renowned professor, Emmrich Volkarin, who has taken a leave of absence from teaching to conduct research into the healing property of flora - his research has lead to major leads in healing draughts. He resides in a crumbling yet ornate manor on the outskirts of Nevarra city which is filled with many plants - many of which are poisonous and quite deadly. But the professor sees the beauty in everything which enamors Rook and she cannot help be enthralled by his passion.

However, things aren't quite as they seem and Rook soon learns that the plants aren't the deadliest thing residing in that manor.
