Exactly with RP’s. As Andrew Chaffin says below. There’s a reason they’re in the pen. You got a small handful of elites, some that alternate between good and bad, and the rest are 1yr wonders. Scouting matters heavily.

Digging a little deeper, we see the following player averages 2023-2026. Two of the better players (above MLB avg) are no longer #Cubs and there are only THREE on the roster who consistently generate bat speed to catch high velo pitching...
Gonna say this now: at $19M AAV #Cubs PCA Rizzo’ed himself. If he’s the type of player we think/hope he is, he’s easily worth $25M+ per year. He bet low on himself and that concerns me. For the Cubs, this is a fair deal.

(6) And this is not just passing mention of Horner as someone to reach out to; this is active correspondence. It breaks my heart because Horner was someone who I grew idolizing and I have signed copies of his T.rex books on my shelf when I met him at age 8...
(3) And also an invite to come out and collect fossils. All this seems in furtherance of getting funding from Epstein for Horner's "Chickensaurus" project form the 2010's (Horner wrote a book and gave a TeD Talk on it)...
