out and about in MPLS
Perfect bike evening. I waited a really long time (about a decade) to upgrade my bike situation and it's been such a gift.
We made it to Leo season! And @pailbn.bsky.social made these lovely phone wallpapers you should check out (see quoted post for link):
Ward 11 Residents! Please email Jamison Whiting to tell him *NO* to police drones and further surveillance in North Minneapolis. Here's my email - feel welcome to edit and send your own! Please let others know.
Today's MPLS public transit route to work downtown included a quick bus ride to the light rail station, and then the light rail the rest of the way. Unapologetic light rail enthusiast!!! A fast, clean, quiet ride, as we pass all the traffic we're *not* stuck in, plus a scenic tour of downtown.
Unreal to live in a city with so many ways to enjoy nature, most connected by bike paths. I appreciate Minneapolis every day!
Today's joy in Minneapolis - Reverie has an incredible, beautiful pride vegan burger.
This picture, taken after Natanyahu's arrest warrant for crimes against humanity, told me everything I needed to know about @klobuchar.senate.gov. Look at those charges! And she stood by him and smiled. She is not qualified for public office.
Fostering the sweetest older cat, Ellie. If you're in the Twin Cities & looking for a quiet companion, Ellie may be your gal. She's about 14, only 6.8 lbs, & needs a quiet home & a space with no access to stairs since she has limited vision. She's been here 24 hrs & is already so snuggly & sweet
If you need some good news - Today I saw a tiger moth so beautiful I gasped. If someone with knowledge of moths knows exactly what type of tiger moth this is, I'd love more certainty than just from my online search.
Powerful and timely exhibit at the MIA on modern art during the rise of fascism in Germany, 1910–1945. Strongly recommend - and MPLS residents can get free tickets through the library: smartpass.melsa.org
