Ah, Monterey! How I missed your ocean views, the smell of salt water, your calming beach walks, and every single square inch of every available surface covered in seagull shit. Love it. 😅
“I cannot think of the deep sea without shuddering at the nameless things that may at this very moment be crawling and floundering on its slimy bed...” - H.P. Lovecraft “Aww! How cute! I want one!” - My Daughter
It’s been over four years, but these four goobers finally get to go on a family trip together.🎉😅
Citizen, your complaint is noted and we thank you for confessing to pro Communist sympathies. Please report to IntSec for processing on charges of treason and the deliberate misspelling of “Commie” to hide your affiliation. Congratulations to the Troubleshooter who reported this on their promotion.
My daughter hand painted another shirt for a friend. She’s got a pretty good side gig going. 😊
I prefer it’s lesser known cousin, The Applecore… And, I will show my way out.
Three months? Dear me. We simply wouldn’t dream of keeping one that long. We have them replaced every fortnight. You’ve rather distressed our chief mechanic, Tarquin. As you can see, he can’t even bear to make eye contact with you. He’ll need a restorative cup of Earl Grey before he can carry on.
@brendanlasalle.bsky.social Just some random 4am coffee infused thoughts. 😉
Our regular Saturday DCC GM is off on vacation, so I ran the opening chapter from the Pirate Borg Starter Set on Foundry as a one shot. It was a blast, and I have to say that @limithron.bsky.social put together a ridiculously impressive module. The polish and features packed into it is fantastic. 🤘🏻
Chilling and playing on Hero Forge making my groups D&D PCs. Of course in any group photo, there is always one. 😅
Very late to the party with Baldur’s Gate 3, and have been enjoying chipping away at it here and there with what little free time I have. There are some questionable mechanics choices, but it seems to be a solid game. Although, it hasn’t moved past the best D&D computer game of all time:
Breaking News: Peace talks between rival factions in my teenagers bathroom have apparently collapsed. Cold War propaganda has now begun appearing on the underside of the toilet lid. 😅
For me, there has always been something special about the remains of a game night. It may look like clutter, but it seems like a still life of sorts. The players have gone, but the evidence of the journey lingers, as for just a little while it wasn’t just a table, it was another world.
Session One with the 3.5 in person group went extremely well tonight. Feeling their way with rules went better then anticipated with thise old familiar scenario. Modified to take place in the Moonshaes, and the isles themselves are stand alone, not a part of the Forgotten Realms. Great fun. 🤘🏻😊
Sure, the ENNIES are nice, but don’t forget to vote for your favorite RPG editor at The Eddies. Drag your favorite redactor, kicking and screaming, from their dank lil’ holes into the scorching sunlight so they can feel a rare moment of appreciation. Avoid direct eye contact and wash after handling.
I know it’s just a snapshot of a moment, but it makes it look like you aren’t the only one. 😅
There is a sequel to it @edoffannyside.bsky.social so make an evening of them. Not unlike enjoying a tray of raw oysters with salmonella.
Straightened up the garage today, which included adding to and organizing the shelves. And so, here is a Saturday Shelfie on Thursday. 😅📚
Wrapped the second Delta Green playtest tonight, and while I can’t divulge details, all four of my players had plenty to say about the scenario, and their playtest report should be an interesting read before submitting them.
This popped up from about a year ago, should the @hplhs.bsky.social and @chaosium.bsky.social decide to delve into other Call of Cthulhu brand ventures. 😉
It is time for Yet Another Completely Unprofessional Unboxing, as I take a rambling dive into @wyrdscience.bsky.social, a fantastic magazine covering the weird and wonderful corners of tabletop gaming. And, as is tradition, vanish into several avoidable tangents along the way.😅 youtu.be/e8Du6b70iYM
Just wrapped recording my unboxing video of @wyrdscience.bsky.social, and I couldn’t say enough good things about this publication. Well, that’s not entirely true, as it wrapped at 30ish min and some editing could stem the usual complaints about my side babbles & tangents. 😅 Video drops tomorrow.
Turns out a FLGS just a short drive was hosting Free RPG Day. Walked in 5 minutes after they opened and there was just one Dolmenwood book left. As I snatched it, I heard the guy behind me say, “Shit!” There was minimum purchase per item, which is totally cool, and so just nabbed these five. 🤘🏻
Credit to Fantasy Flight Games, Photoshop, a glitch filter, yellow overlay, and the Toad Suck, AK Dairy Queen. 😜
Yesterday’s Impossible Landscapes answered some questions, but only left @sdorward.bsky.social @discourseminis.bsky.social @sskorkowsky.bsky.social with more. What is their role in this corrupted design? Merely actors in a play? But the most important of all was: Does Carcosa have a Dairy Queen? 🍦
No, I was primarily a Vans man for most of youth, with a short bout of insanity with Reeboks. 😅
