Green MSP for Glasgow | He/Him Short, bald, frequently appalled. Promoted by Patrick Harvie, 19b Graham Street, Edinburgh, EH6 5QN.
Today, on the tenth anniversary of the disastrous Brexit referendum, I'm preparing to chair the first meeting of Holyrood's Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee. And I'll be wearing this.
I can hardly believe I've got the chance to work with this fantastic group of Green MSPs for Glasgow - @hollybruce.bsky.social and @irisduane.bsky.social 💚
Green councillor provides ad hoc dog-sitting service for local voter. #dogsatpollingstations
To end a fantastic visit to Glasgow, Zack joined @ross-greer.bsky.social @gillianmackaygreen.bsky.social and our candidate @hollybruce.bsky.social with dozens of volunteers to take our campaign out in the sunny Southside! 💚
Delighted to welcome @zackpolanski.bsky.social to Glasgow! In just two weeks, we can return the biggest and best ever group of Green MSPs, and we're seeing more people joining the campaign every day.
Last chance today! Get registered, to have your say about the country's future. www.gov.uk/register-to-...
Thanks to the @scottishgreens.org members who joined us at the Glasgow Southside anti-racism march. When communities work together to oppose the far right, the tide can be turned.
Many thanks to the @scotrefugeecouncil.bsky.social for inviting me to their election hustings.
The STUC are politically independent, and quite rightly have questions and challenges for all parties. But their headline reactions to the manifestos are telling. I'm proud to be standing on a manifesto that commits to protecting public services and workers' rights. www.stuc.org.uk/news/news/st...
And @ross-greer.bsky.social follows up, setting out the principles of a Green economy, with workers rights, fair work, and sustainability at its heart.
Delighted to see @gillianmackaygreen.bsky.social launching the Green manifesto this morning!
New voter? Moved home since last time? You have one week left to register to vote. Make sure your voice gets counted - register today! www.mygov.scot/vote-electio...
My response to the Prime Minister's statement this morning. (subtitles in video, text in thread)
Terrific turnout at the demo to save Trongate 103 in Glasgow. Both Christy and fellow Green councillor @hollybruce.bsky.social addressed the crowd to give clear commitments to try and force City Properties to back down.
The Assisted Dying Bill comes up for its final vote this evening. Scotland has the chance to adopt the most safeguarded system of assisted dying anywhere in the world, giving choice to those who need it and protection for the most vulnerable. I urge all MSPs who back the principle, to vote Yes.
There's a wonderful, optimistic atmosphere at the @scottishgreens.org conference today. We're determined to bring back hope to Scottish politics.
Many thanks to everyone who joined the Green bloc on today's climate march!
It's a damp day in Battlefield, but our lovely @scottishgreens.org volunteers have been out on the doorsteps, determined to turn our record breaking polls into our best ever election result next year!
Our membership has been rising since these two became our new leadership team. Join us now, as we prepare to make 2026 our best ever election year! greens.scot/join
Shame on the UK Government for giving him the honour of a state visit.
Eurovision is supposed to be a celebration of peace, unity and love. A state committing genocide cannot be allowed to take part.
Great to see progress toward restoration and reopening of Langside Halls, thanks to the work of one of Glasgow Southside's Green representatives, Holly Bruce.
Earlier today MSPs backed my proposal for boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel, as well as for immediate recognition of the State of Palestine. This is a huge step forward, thanks to the many people who have campaigned for this.
This afternoon Holyrood will hear a statement from the First Minister about Palestine, followed by a debate. Greens have proposed a broad package of boycotts, divestment and sanctions where the Scottish Government can act now, and we challenge all other parties to vote for it tonight.
It was wonderful to return to the renewed Citz tonight, as it retakes its place in Glasgow's cultural life.
Ukrainian and Scottish performers took to the stage in Victoria Park today to mark Ukrainian Independence Day, with many of Glasgow's Ukrainian community in the crowd. Solidarity with Ukraine's people, at home and around the world, as they continue to fight for the independence of their country.
I attended a lovely event at Glasgow's Botanic Gardens today, to open the new Peace Garden and to mark the 80th anniversary of the #Hiroshima bombing. As we remember the atrocities of the past, and work to oppose the atrocities of today, we must not lose hope in the potential for a peaceful future.
Nicola should feel flattered. I hope John understands how humiliating it is to be praised by this monster. Time for a long hard look in the mirror.
