I passed a new café on Bond Street, which will be of interest to @clouds75.bsky.social I have consumed the Afogatto, which I note is spelled with 2 fs.
Whilst, last night, I was pleased to turn jungal into Conjugal. Some related words were also formed.
Last night: Daniel Avery at Chalk - a very mixed bag of drone music that leant heavily on Nine inch Nails and Death in Vegas, followed by the expected squelchy 303 bangers and delicious hi hat techno. Tonight: A jazz quartet at St. Andrews in Hove. I think there's a Greek saxophonist involved.
Happy Tuesday. These impromptu pints will stop about the time that the clocks go back and instead, I suppose at I shall have to go to the gym at this time instead *sighs*
It's sunny again this afternoon, so I am having tea (in favour of alcohol), at FIKA, near the artisan swimming pool. The Tea is not pictured, as I had to move swiftly to capture the Volks passing by.
Well it did clear up but I made the mistake of poking the sea with a stick and it got angry.
Our clever Saxon oaks make smaller acorns near the Kentish border, to deter potential pilfering from the Kentish ne'erdowells! Here is a picture that I took at the weekend, of a fine SUSSEX acorn next to a crab apple.
A sample of birds heard in a two minute period at Mum's house. No Woodpeckers have appeared today. There's a buzzard overhead too.
Lured in (after a swim) by the massive signage and I rather enjoyed the subversive (and explicit) nature of their content, you might be able to zoom in on the green cushion for an example. BENT. Does what it says on the tin. Probably not a place to take your kids.
Teddy and I were out on Iping with Stedham commons in #Sussex this morning and I heard, then saw, my first ever Stonechat. @sussexwildlife.bsky.social @southdownsnp.bsky.social
I love goggly eyes! Caption this! "Hello Sarge, I have found about a kilo of drugs, over" {SGT responds} "You want to know how I know it's cocaine Sarge?"
They will sing a song at the end of each winning round. "My rose has left me, I'm in a mood"
Some post tea cricket action at Hove County cricket ground. There's a bit of cloud and a light breeze, so it's the perfect conditions. #Sussex #GOSBTS #countychampionshipcricket #cricket
I walked to this funny shaped tree [1]. This is possibly visible in pictures 2, 3 & 4, which contain the yellow field from my original post and my finger confidently pointing out said tree; four miles away....
A #tree that I spotted on today's walk in #brighton @createstreets.bsky.social check the notice!
Pre season friendly at the County ground, Hove. Actual T shirt weather. One for the #villagecricketers, Hampshire have a player called Wheal....
I do but where do I find them? Below is a screenshot of some of the Add-ins that I have encountered - should I be disabling some of these?
