It’s not just activists that are being investigated under this directive, lawyers are being targeted as well.

The report devotes a full page to the National Lawyers Guild, the legal collective founded in 1937 as a
colorblind alternative to the American Bar Association, which forbade Black members.
The group's leftist sympathies have long drawn the ire of the right. In the 1940s and 1950s, it was infiltrated by
J. Edgar Hoover's FBI and mentioned in McCarthy's infamous Senate hearings. More recently, the group has become an obsession for right-wing think tanks such as the Center for Security Policy and the Capital Research Center.

"I don't know what that means, because antifa is not an organization," he said, adding that if it were true, the group would proud to fight fascism. "But again, it's false.
It's just not based on truth. There is no retainer agreement with antifa."
And beyond that, he said, "NG as an organization does not provide legal representation. Its members do."
The report included a picture of National Lawyers Guild legal observers wearing their trademark lime-green hats, which de Janon interpreted as essentially a call to target them.

12. In late 2023, HFS directed me to prosecute an individual, Ricci Sergienko, whom
HFS believed to present in a video she saw of Palestinian protesters outside the home of Michael Tuchin, an Israel supporter in Brentwood, who was a supporter and max donor of HFS. HFS repeatedly told me that she wanted Sergienko to be prosecuted, even though there had been no law enforcement investigation that determined he may have committed any crime. HFS repeatedly brought up with me the issue of filing criminal charges against Ricci Sergienko, and how if we did not file such charges, it would damage her career. HFS demanded weekly updates on the criminal investigation against Sergienko and relentlessly interrogated me about the status of the criminal filing against Sergienko. I learned that the City Attorney went as far as attempting to personally gather possible evidence in a pending investigation. Some of the possible evidence was sent via text messages to me with videos and photographs from the scene of the protest.
13. For months, Hydee Feldstein Soto relentlessly pursued filing criminal charges against
Sergienko without evidence of his involvement in a crime. Hydee Feldstein Soto held simultaneous conversations via text message, email and in person with (1) LAPD Chief Michael Moore (2) an LAPD West LA Captain (3) the entire upper management team of Chiefs and executives and (4) me individually. The LAPD command staff demanded a meeting with Criminal Branch management to express their objection to the constant pressure and inquiries from Hydee Feldstein Soto about evidence against Sergienko.

perpetually mapping the movements of every driver in Los Angeles. Flock and LAPD have long shared camera footage, data, and hardware.
Stop LAPD Spying Coalition and its partners have been leading a local fight to end Flock surveillance in Los Angeles due to Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR data being used to facilitate mass deportations and to criminalize. In February, the Coalition submitted a public records request for copies of all of LAPD's contracts and agreements with Flock. In over two months that this request has been pending, LAPD has refused to produce anything more than a single, expired memorandum from 2025. But LAPD has had agreements with Flock going back at least 7 years.
We have no doubt that LAPD's secrecy is correlated with one of LAPD's major Memorandum of Understandings
(MOU) with Flock "Safety" expiring on July 11th of this year. In an attempt to prevent community scrutiny, LAPD is suppressing documents that would reveal the exact terms of LAPD's access and oversight of the Flock's growing surveillance network. As several dozen cities and counties have banned the use of Flock, LAPD appears to be violating the Public Records Act in order to protect and conceal their partnerships with Flock Safety.

LAPD is literally going to bankrupt the city due to their unrelenting violence. The mayor & city council will continue to increase LAPD’s $3.5 billion, sending the message that the police are free to keep attacking Angelenos, especially since the settlements don’t come out of the LAPD budget.

When claims are filed against officers, the settlement funds don't come out of the LAPD'S

WHAT: Press conference to announce the filing of a lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles Police Department officers for unlawfully targeting and shooting civil rights attorneys and a community organizer with 40mm "less lethal" rubber bullets during an anti-ICE protest.
On June 9, 2025, community organizer Jason Reedy and civil rights attorneys Ricci Sergienko and Shakeer Rahman were attending a protest against ICE when they observed LAPD Officer Rick Linton aiming a 40mm rubber bullet launcher at non-violent protesters. Reedy, Sergienko, and Rahman exercised their First Amendment rights to record Officer Linton and demand he identify himself, as he did not display his name and serial number were removed from his helmet. In response, Officer Linton shot all three men with rubber bullets from close range, including shooting Mr. Reedy and Mr.
Rahman in the groin. Reedy, Sergienko, Rahman, and their attorneys bring this lawsuit to hold LAPD and Officer Linton accountable for his outrageous, unlawful, and targeted acts of violence against them.

Absolute fuckery happening in Texas courts - Prairieland Judge orders mistrial due to too many possible anti-ICE jurors - Judge orders everyone back & says he will be the one to conduct jury selection - judge limits opening statements to 8 min - no crying or looking at anyone in your family

"I believe the prosecution and the judge were not thrilled with the anti-ICE and anti-Trump sentiment in the jury pool," Lowrey said. "I believe they are trying to roll the dice and get a more Trump-friendly jury."
Support committee members also said it appeared clear that when a jury is selected and lawyers present arguments, defendants facing life imprisonment will have to closely regulate their emotions, to avoid drawing Pittman's ire.
