Let's go @wpbl.bsky.social San Francisco Firebells 🔥 Stoked to witness history, their first game of the first year of this brand new league.
Beautiful spring morning in the Petaluma Regional Library garden before the Pride Flag Raising ceremony 😌
12 years since we met. 11 years dating. 9 years married. And 8 years to the day since we said, "I do," in front of all our favorite people.
Happy Caturday, my dears 🥰 Today Pico-cat got lots of outdoor time, but he's no longer content to just explore or enjoy catnip. No, this time he needed to play and remind the world he's a ferocious beastie. Caterpillar unrelated, Pico and I just played with long grass.
Turns out, I slay in a skirt and look pretty fabulous in a dress ✨ No full length photos to share tho, still too new of an exploration 😘
I remember reading the 2nd year of transition is spicy. It's true! Progress no longer rapid. Dysphoria in focus but far from resolved. Uncanny valley of appearance means constant misgendering. Now equipped to begin confronting the grief. Much to be happy about! More at home than ever. But woof.
New Health To Go vending machine at the Petaluma Regional Library! Absolutely free, 24/7, restocked weekly. Health, hygiene, and harm reduction supplies for anyone who needs em. Thanks to Sonoma County Department of Health Services and the @sonomalibrary.bsky.social for this fabulous partnership ✨
My training flight 7 years ago today! I miss flying dearly. Last flight was March 2020. FAA hates people with ADHD, even if its well managed. I can't get medical clearance to do solo flight and finish my license. Got a bum heart, tho? No problem! Maybe they'll enter the 21st century someday 🤷🏻♀️
This hits close to home. History isn't all that distant. All my love to the queer and trans elders who fought for their rights in Tasmania, and all the people who grew up and suffered under these policies. I love you. tasmanian.com.au/stories/rodn...
Five years on the Petaluma General Plan Advisory Committee, the draft is done, and now it's in front of the Planning Commission. Let's see this thing through!
What a weekend. My cup is full and I am tired. I'll post photos from the 7th ed of North Bay Python later. For now: another selfie, starting to dial in a few particular looks. Chris joked when I came out to him that my "style had been tending lesbian." This has only become more true 😂 #StillBi tho.
A few photos from today's double header in the Butter and Egg Days Parade! Marched with the library and then moved as fast as I could while wearing danglies and navigating the throng to re-join the parade with Petaluma Pride 🌈
First post-Swalwell gubernatorial poll has dropped. One primary beneficiary stands out: Becerra. He and Porter remain my top choices. But regardless of how YOU vote, just make sure you and everyone you know votes. Turnout matters more than persuading each other to coalesce around a given candidate.
Hanging out at the Petaluma Regional Library doing my homework, as one does 📝
@northbaypython.org returns for its 7th year this Apr 25 & 26! Join us for a tech conference like no other, featuring barn cats, about the tech we build and the people we build it for. We're a small local event with a global draw. If you've never been, come find out why 😁 northbaypython.org #NBPy
Fascinating 👀 A working group of Indivisible chapters in California surveyed 11,810 people using STAR voting, to ascertain who they should ask to drop out of the gubernatorial race. The results are below. Personally, I really hope people start coalescing around Xavier Becerra. He can do this.
Taking a moment to appreciate a cheeky milestone in my fundraiser for feminizing gender affirming care and surgery. gofund.me/6d9a5e840
It has been a joy to go deeper on the NWSL adventure, I love soccer and the culture around NWSL is just top notch. This year we connected with the supporter groups and bought 4 season tickets, always a good time and even better when we bring friends 💖
Heaps of fun to represent @bayfc.com supporter groups today! I was repping @bayfcsupporters.bsky.social with Alexis, alongside JT and John with Big Poppies, Jackie and Shayna with @wearepier75.bsky.social, and Bri with Bay Imperio. Glad to rep #FreeDC and #TransPeopleBelong too 😁 #NWSL
I had hoped to avoid this — but my job search is taking longer than expected, and Chris lost his job unexpectedly. I'm now fundraising so that I can afford gender affirming care and surgery scheduled for October 8th! Donate at: riley.pub/fundraiser Every bit helps and I welcome boosts. Thank you ❤️🩹
My first lobbying meeting! Grateful to @asmchrisrogers.bsky.social for his time today and to the ACLU for organizing. We were advocating for AB2122 and AB2669, but of course I squeezed in some personal advocacy against surveillance technology and social media bans.
This isn't just a surge of people. This is an organized movement. If you're not plugged in to civic orgs yet, now's the time. We accomplish nothing as individuals, and everything as a team. #NoKings www.meditationsinanemergency.com/eight-millio... by @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social
The season of yard signs is upon us! Three candidates I'm genuinely thrilled to support this year: - @jackieelward.bsky.social for CA State AD12 - Joanna Paun for Sonoma County D2 (electjoannapaun.com) - and cars slowing the hell down
