My other general favourite (as in type of rock, not any one specific rock) is Blue John, it's a kind of fluorite only found in some caverns in the county where I grew up. It's sort of a symbol of home for me. I wear a silver ring with a tiny polished bit, but these raw pieces live on my bookshelf 💖
This is my good luck rock. His name is Angry David for reasons I no longer remember but think are probably to do with how we met: ~20 years ago an angry drunk man in Llandudno picked him up off the beach and threw him at me, and I somehow managed to catch him in front of my face like a superhero.

Waterhouse 💖💖💖 This is one of my favourites - I used to go on regular pilgrimages to visit it in Manchester where it's (or was? not been in years) right near one of my other loves, Rossetti's Astarte Syriaca.

Full painting. How it looks is only one part of why it's my favourite, I love everything about it: that it's unfinished, the arguments about what it actually shows or means, how it lodged in my head the first time I saw a photo of it and hasn't shifted in 30+ years.
