I think this is a seriously hyperbolic and wrong take. Essence20 is an overly complex derivative of 5e. These properties are licensed from the WotC IP holder. This is the laziest decision that probably helps extend the license. It is not the end of gaming.

From Shan Wolf: Apparently they're ending Essence20 in flavor of DnD5.5e? We keep fucking warning ya'll that DnD is going to eat the whole genre. Apparently ya'll don't give a fuck so. *shrug*
